Terrible news indeed.
If people are hoping for publicity about this story, then one way would be for the police to issue a still of the lorry involved and also set up some kind of interview / appeal alongside a member of the family plus a picture of the poor woman involved.
Quite understandably family members don't always want to do this.@ Oliver Schick: are there any details on what kind of hit and run this was?
Sometimes the drivers are genuinely unaware they've even struck something (although I find that hard to believe).
Other times of course they know full well and drive off. -

No idea. Nothing in the local newspapers yet by the looks of it.

I drove past the scene in the same direction on A102 a few minutes after it happened. Honestly, it was horrible and sickening to look at as the lorry literally run over the cyclist. All my best wishes to the family of that woman. Rest in peace!

such sad news. if there's enough immiediate news and appeal attention drawn to this the driver will realise that its just a matter of time before they are caught and hand him/herself in. otherwise they'll keep quite. best wishes to all affected by this tragic act.

Sad sad news, saw the ghost bike at the weekend.
I live 400m from this junstion and is on mine, mrs.C's and a good friends commute route.
It's a shocking junction for light jumpers and arctics from Sainos/Asda and buses cutting across lanes.
There is loads of cctv down there so hopefully the spineless twat will get his come uppance!
Sympathies to the rider and family.
Horrible news. Rest in Peace.
