i couldn't care less about people being killed. i dont really have an emotion for that stuff....maybe because it's so big? or not here in england? i dunno.....but i feel nothing but anger and misery when animals are hurt.
I found this a bit disturbing, to be honest.

Is it one of the ones with a plastic gun that you point at the TV screen? Always wondered how they know where you're pointing.

I think that some of the more extreme things said on this thread about what should be done to this woman can only legitimately be said by vegans and, to a lesser extent, vegetarians. Those of us who are meat eaters should face the fact that we are sometimes just as cruel, only we do it remotely rather than buying a special bow and arrow.
I'm sorry, you're saying that me buying meat is the same as me going out and wounding an animal and letting it bleed to death for a bet are the same thing?
Does that mean that people who buy clothes are effectively keeping children as slaves?
(Yes I know not all clothes etc. are made by child labour but a significant number are)

There's no contradiction in eating meat and being an animal lover** - people keep putting that argument up but it's totally irrelevant........life and death is totally normal...but 'meanings' are what make things good or bad.Actually, there is a clear contradiction between eating meat and being an animal lover (one that can be demonstrated using perfectly simple logic). It depends on whether you can see it.
But if you genuinely don't care about people being killed, perhaps the contradiction between caring only about animals and not about people being killed is perhaps the view of yours that requires looking into first?

Your not on about an absolute logic here but a subjective logic.

The woman was american
The woman killed the elephant with a bow and arrow
Therefore all american women kill elephants with bows and arrows. -
