  • No idea. B-)

    Perche non?

  • I'm looking for either a Mash Histogram or Parallax but struggling with which size, i'm 5 ft 7" (170 cm) and ride a 52 Langster, I think looking at the size charts I will need a Small Parallax or an Extra Small Histogram? does this sound right?

  • i'm the same height, had a Medium sized OG mash back then. It was a good size for me, but it felt that it could be a tad smaller. With our height, going for the small frame size would be ideal with maybe 100mm stem or 110 depending on your needs. Looks kinda nice as well with a longer exposed seatpost compared to the medium size. just my 2 cents

  • I'm only about 3-4 cm taller.
Same as Shroom, my Mash Bolt in Medium felt slightly too big. I had a Histogram and after that Parallax, both in Small. They were a perfect fit, with a longer stem and a nice length of seatpost out.
Having said that, your inseam makes a difference too.
    Hope that helps.

  • Thanks both, Mattspare, I notice the sizing for the Parallax and Histogram are different meaning that an extra small Histogram is similar to the small Parallax. How did these frames compare, looking around i'm swaying to the Parallax as I can get a full bike for a £1000. I'm going to use it primarily on the track.

    thanks

  • Yeah the small parallax sounds about right - but only 2mm difference in T1 measurement across to the small Histogram.

The wheelbase of the XS Histo is actually longer than the S Histo cause of the slack HT angle on XS. Not the case on the Parallax though.

  • The Histo was a blast on short, fast rides. First time I had anything like it, but then again I only rode a battered old fuji track and the Bolt before that.
With the Parallax, I could ride it all day really. Would've never sold it if I had the space.
You mention using it for track, no idea about that, sorry. Closest I get to a velo is cycle past one!

  • My Histogram - helping me with the bike is @mr_bang

  • Yes… Yeeees

  • trying to find an OG bolt in green and white or the old grey and white one in Large if anyone is thinking of selling?

  • Here is mine with update crank and stem

  • very nice. what handlebar is that?

  • What you spin out at on that then? Mad skidz...

  • 89" as pictured, with the option to go up to 93. 25-27mph in my preferred cadence band.

  • Knees be loek...emphasized text

  • 86 rpm for 4 hours didn't do them any harm on Sunday, and cadence will be higher on Saturday. 25mph is about 95rpm.

  • Nah thinking about slowing the mutha down 😀 traffic lights / car doors etc You racing it then?

  • Oh, I don't ride the Vig daily any more, it's for RHC. 85" for the past couple of weeks to get used to it again, but that's on quiteish country roads.

Wouldn't go above 48x17 for day to day riding. 68" on the daily rider and 65" on the commuter. Not always about the big gears.

  • Quite. What RHC btw? 😀

  • @sergioflorez Thanks. Bars are 3T Ergosum

  • British Racing Green for London...

  • Ah RHC. Best of luck Upsidedown. Let us know how you go... :o)

  • Rad build @Thuekr! Stem/bar ID?

  • The London frame build needs black bar tape. Best looking in a while though
