i am currently taking antibiotics for my sores, with a view to getting the core surgically removed from them soon.

a 12er ! check ALDI they have these type shorts for 7quit and some under shorts with less padding for 4 bucks so you'd get 3 for that!

and i borrow some Sudocreme from my lil' nephew for light sores or longer rides - if you have a real case there Bepanthan or sth.. Boots has good prices on that.

Well I wear their cycling shorts as undershorts, the padding is quite light(as far as I know) so price seems to sort of reflect quality in this case.

Those dnb undershorts are really good. The padding is light, but also doesn't get 'in the way' ...ehem. The shorts are well fitted and smooth. And they're perfect under bib shorts for long rides.

Trying to get my seatpost unseized. After two hours of track training on saturday my gooch hurt so much that I thought I might have split it when I was showering afterwards. (I hadn't). Do people wax the gooch?

Where can you get the oxy10 stuff from?

I've heard about some people on brooks not wearing any padded shorts for long rides anyone have any experience on this one? I like this idea but have not been able to convince myself to but a brooks on my bike as they are so heavy.

I'm quite lucky in that I can get away without padding for about 30 - 40 miles depending on my shorts / trousers but beyond that I defiantly need proper shorts, the problem then for me is the seam on the edge of the padding rubs by inner thigh but a dollop of sudocream minimises that.

Thursday I have the operation on my sores.

I stopped wearing cheap boxers and swapped the charge spoon and I no longer have problems. I think the seams on low quality undies caused irritation that turned to sores.

Oh, and bibshorts and lycra for more than 30 miles.

been rocking a mean little bastard / couple of bastards for the last three or four weeks.. not sure if my padded shorts make it better or worse.. sometimes it's been a proper wince-filled start to my day. anyway I thought I'd share, I feel your pain brothers
