I should imagine loads of people will be going without. Even my order email mentioned the fact it doesn't mean you've got one.

My email says "order confirmation" at the top, then says it hasn't been approved. I am confuse.

Very tempted to buy an iPad full priced now as I've got a bit of money put away. Only problem is I really don't know how much I'd use it.

How much did you use your phone to browsed web, do email, etc.?
How often do you use your computer but wish to be elsewhere, i.e. sofa, bedroom, etc.
calculated those two and you'll figure out if you need one or not.

- A lot - when I'm at home on the sofa or laying in bed.
- I've got my PC (which I use for studying) in one of our rooms and the laptop for around the house.
The main reason for me getting one would be because It's easy to use like a phone for browsing the internet only bigger, but saying that would I be better off going for a much cheaper tablet if that's all I want?

I found the iPad to be too large for use out and about- I used my phone instead and left the iPad in my bag. It's pretty good for around the house, I found that using it to browse the forum I kept reaching for the laptop to type a response to a post though

I much prefer the iPad to my netbook for Internet and email. It's light, it doesn't get hot, and I can type better on the touchscreen keyboard than the not-quite-full-size netbook real one.
Mind you the real reason I bought it was GarageBand.
I've just had a call from an old colleague who's bought one after I posted it on Twitter. They must be shifting thousands of these.
