  • Not quite, but he does* have a sort of staccato rhythm to his speech.

I keep dipping in and out of it. Almost every time it reminds me of an afternoon special - to the point that I think it could be on purpose.

It's like the opposite of that Chicago Bulls thing - where you don't need any knowledge or interest in basketball to enjoy. For me Wu-Tang only works because of all the cute callbacks and references. I've taken to +10 seconding through lots of the sceens now to skip the cheese and it's a much better experience.

But yeah it's mad that the lead character is the worst of the lot. Method Man and ODB are outstanding. Must be really weird for Meth watch himself be played.

*edit Interestingly I've just done a bit of you tubing and he's much clearer and more articulate now.

  • Defo the best yet, funniest in a few different ways with the best written jokes and silliest shit, saddest in a few different ways with anger at cunts and feels about relationships etc, and fits in political and social commentary and manages to be uplifting all within an hour.

it might not be exact but rza talks like that

  • Citadel - has anyone managed to watch this. My prime shows this as only a trailer.

  • First episode is on tomorrow.

  • YouTube just played a trailer for Band of Brothers, not sure why they are promoting it but looks like I'm going to have to rewatch it, great TV at the time.

It had me thinking about other TV shows from that era... Battlestar Galactica is now on my rewatch list.

The Pacific was also very good!

  • The Diplomat

I love it, but it's exhausting and anxiety inducing just how On they all are, all the time, and with such pace and confidence.

  • You've not lived until you've watched Danny Dyer eat tuna sperm in Sicily.

  • You mean noshing the old hair perm?

  • you've only gon and spilt the faaaaakin milt

  • Finished it last night, really enjoyed it

  • Poker face is pretty good

Natasha Lyonne (from Russian Doll) is a sort of Columbo character solving various murders if you’re into that kind of thing

  • Makes me want to just watch Columbo again though to be fair

  • Is Citadel the most generic shite ever? Also looks incredibly cheap and the colour grade makes me sick.

  • It had great reviews but it was bollocks. And all grey and beige. And largely incomprehensible.

Just like my life really LOL

  • Starting watching citadel last night. It all seemed fairly good until the amnesia bit.

  • Really enjoyed Beef. Some proper dark twists. Not the kind of show I’d binge back to back mind.

Started on The Diplomat which is enjoyable so far. Bit like Veep meets Homeland.

Barry S4 is the business. It’s been announced that it’s the final one though. Would love a few prequel seasons.

  • Colin from Accounts on BBC.
    Really enjoying it.

This is really good! 3 episodes in so far 👍

  • Barry S4

    Yeah, it's great.

  • Keep going, you won’t regret it. Not that you needed any encouragement. It’s very likeable from the get go.

Also enjoyed Wellmania. The coke bloat reference was on point.

  • Anyone started Silo yet? I enjoyed the books and so far (2 eps) the show is decent

  • Hadn’t realised it’d been televised. I enjoyed the first book, lost interest in the writing halfway through the second, but it seems one that’d translate well to tv. Will check it out, ta.

The show is good enough that I'd hate to hear any spoilers from people who have read the books.

Those of you who watched Foundation, what did you think? I'm tempted to go look in a morbid way, since the Foundation books were the dumbest things Asimov ever wrote. In the pantheon of "SF books written an author who has no idea how people work, with plots that rely on almost everybody in the universe having single digits IQs and the heroes being shy of three digits", those are way up there. But the TV series has Jared Harris.
