the handmaids tale is good.

American Gods.
Not to be too indelicate about it, but bravo that man.

Feel free to shoot me down in a ball of flames but the Paddy and Keith picture show on ITV (hub) has been not too bad.
-
• #3480
Where are you watching Handmaids Tale?
-
• #3481
Just heard it's going to be on channel 4

If you know how to use torrents, there are 6 (of 11) episodes available to download.

The new Twin Peaks has blown my mind just a little bit...
-
• #3484
Watched the first episode just now. I'm not a huge Lynch fan, but it satisfied.
-
• #3485
It certainly delivered, in spades...

Four episodes down, this is fucking great television... Absolutely bewildering at times but bloody beautiful to watch...
-
• #3487
any sting in a codpiece yet?
-
• #3488
No, but some other pretty bizarre cameos are popping up all over the place... Hollywood agents have been busy...

Archer Dreamland.
More of the same. But the same is good.

Master of None s2.
Mixed bag. Felt some of the episodes were pointless filler because they couldn't think of any content. Same kind of emotional rollercoaster as s1 though, got me right in the feels, and those last 3 episodes - damn.

I really enjoyed it. Agree about the 'fillers' though weren't necessary to the story and felt more like a directors experiment or showreel piece. Still enjoyable though.

That one where they go to the movies, I was waiting for it to kick in and then it was over.
-
• #3493
Yeah I've been enjoying it - took me a couple of episodes to get over the saturation of it all. It's all quite cranked up, isn't it?
Can't remember much of the book having read it yonks ago, but that's probably a good thing. -

Currently enjoying Fauda. It's quite compelling and shows how the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is shit for the people on both sides. The motivations for the protagonists of both factions are clearly realised.

Watching episode 3 now. I love Dev's parents.
The first two episodes were brilliant. Something about them made me really nostalgic despite never having lived in Italy or had a phone stolen with an important number on it.
I hope he meets Sarah again...
-
• #3496
Im sure he will.
-
• #3497
You may already know this, but Devs parents are Aziz's actual parents. His dad in particular gets better and better.
-
• #3498
I did know that, and I've just watched the one where Dev goes to work with his dad which is brilliant.
"I don't even know why they pay...I will host that show. And the winning cupcake is...the tasty cupcake made by the white lady!"
He's so good.

The first episode in Modena made me feel like this. I went there 3 years ago and ate at Osteria Francesscana - so is nostalgic.
I love master of none but I watched it way too quick. Watched again but still want more.
Now.tv have taken season 1 of True Detective down and I was on episode 7 ffs
Im struggling to find something good to watch. Tempted by West Wing - but 130+ episodes seems daunting.

west wing is quite saccharine but entertaining
veep is much sharper
I love it! Not really any bad episodes either.
