White Gold - mildly amusing 80s set comedy, filmed and based in my home town of Basildonk within the wonderfully awful world of Double Glazing salesmen

Just started the third series of Fargo. Maintaining the high standards set by the first two.

American Gods anyone?
-
• #3508
Yeah, seen two episodes so far. The story is intriguing if a bit slow, but I will forgive it almost anything for how beautiful it is.

The most recent episode was shit tho

Only seen the 1st one, was wondering if I should continue...
-
• #3511
Yes, do. It's slow going but it's entertaining.

We don't often stop to watch series, but American Gods we have done. It looks like only 8 episodes for the first series though, which is a shame.

Aw yes...Reminds me I haven't seen the 3rd series of The Fall yet. Anyone know if it was any good or does it fail to live up to the 2 previous?

Master of None is good but I do feel the character arcs are somewhat lacking. The Bicycle Thieves pastiche/tribute in episode one is really nicely done. Epsiode 3 at the movies was a great piece of television. However his relationship with Francesca just seems very 1 dimensional, she has very little character whatsoever. Even if she is blindingly beautiful.

Binned Master of None after 1 episode. Naff.

And his main viability as an alternative to her boyf is that he's relatively nice. They do enjoy a few cultural experiences/racist jokes together though so...

I'm enjoying the second season of flaked netflix, it's helping with the comedown from Master of None, it has a similar feel

First series of Fall was great for 4 episodes, then got silly.
Second series was pure nonsense (all that guff about 'the Benedetto girl')
Third series kinda gave up on plot, but was all moody and atmospheric and beautifully shot, so wasn't as bad as series 2.

So is Riviera any good?

Struggling with Flaked Season 2. It's going nowhere at all. I'm on episode 4 and all the characters are in the same place as they were at the end of Season 1.

after watching inside no 9 based on @Hobo 's recommendation which was very good I aslo started on psychoville which is also on netflix and surprised i never caught it first time around. some seriously skin crawl moments of awkwardness like the first scene with the aging mum and her serial killer obsessed son but also a couple of full on laugh out loud moments as well.

Gotta light?
I only just noticed there's a new series of Bloodlines out. Loved the 1st series, liked the 2nd but not as much. Apparently 3rd is a return to form.
