Cargo Brompton, nice!

Cheers. It's running 9 speed Shimano with a bafang 500w motor. Cranks and chainring are through a company here in NZ that do aftermarket stuff. Most of it has been moved across from my Clydesdale build which was no longer cutting it for the type of work that we do.

Thanks. Yeah, silver hubs and spokes to black rims always seem to look good. I still need to build the matching rear wheel. Hubs are stripped and polished dt 350's that I'd had it the parts drawer.
Yup, that's the correct Matias. Thanks! -

been following you on Instagram for a while, love your work!
This mini cargo is absolutely superb.

@young_gun do you have the Argo? How has it been? Anyone else know much about them?
-
• #6210
love it. you missed some weave on the net, if you care.
out of curiosity how does the webbing work? is it one piece that you tighten with a ratchet? what's on the underside?
-
• #6211
why reverse trail with near zero angle? just to get it smaller?
-
• #6212
Oh thanks, totally missed that.
Webbing is all separate straps. The ones going across are loops that slide over the tray and the ones going lengthways weave through then connect underneath using Velcro. You can adjust those ones so that is has more give. -

I see.
I hadn't realized the cargo tray comes off the bike.
I like these bikes. I feel like my wife would love one, rather than the huge bullitt I ride around.

Has anyone ridden, seen or even read a review of a Ridgeback ecargo?
-
• #6215
As the very happy owner of a Moulton Super Mini, I'm totally down with this.

I don't know about the e-cargo but the MK5 is sold in Denmark in supermarkets (own bike-brand), with half the watts but also half the price. I have seen the Butcher at a LBS (Centurion Challenger as it is called here) and it just looks cheap.
Basically they're not their own designs and I'm not sure they are worth the money. -

Nice!

Been a minute. Just rolled over the two-year mark on this one and put about 7,200km on it in 2020.

Dear LFGSS cargo bike hive mind, what think ye of this:
I am still considering the Douze for its dismantlability (is that even a word) but i might be open to getting an electric one like this second hand, and quietly building a small shed in the communal back yard, without telling the housing association.
