I really like the 2 person platter thing at Mangal on Kingsland road. Apparently so do these chaps who frequent the place. I think they have been there every time I've walked past.

Balki, is that Mangal I (Arcola St) or Mangal II?

I've been to Mangal I and the quality is tip top - even been recommended by Rick Stein
In my opinion, all mediteranean food tastes fantastic.

P-M, I might be a tree hugger but I ain't no fuckin gimp. If no-one looked out for the trees there'd be none left as they have no anti-corporate-chainsaw defences.

  • I think its the one near Arcola street, Hoonz. I didnt realise there was a second one. Its a goldmine for good reasonably priced eats around there. Im pretty partial to Tay-do a bit further down too. Vietnamese Pho for a fiver. Solid

  • Viet-Hoa Cafe is my fave. Costs a touch more but the squid and fried catfish is equisite. Tiny corkage on BYO too. I must try Tay-do. Hackney is sweet for cheap eats

  • YES!!! Salty spicy squid is awesome!

  • ...except dolmades. They are a fucking abomination.

you ought to be hung up.

  • Turns out that was rather a more controversial statement than I expected. :D

  • :)

  • I work with a Turkish girl, and her Ma makes them.
You can order full custom Dolmades!

  • I'd rather eat dirt.

  • knock yourself out - i'll eat chilli dolma.

  • they do look like goblin poo - i'll give you that.

  • Richie, for an orstraylian you're a funny fuckah…

  • you're pretty funny, for a carny, too.

    :P

  • Green Papaya in Bethnal Green does some tasty Vietnamese, particularly the starters...

  • No idea what the food is like, but yesterday I walked past a Thai restaurant in Crouch End called "Thaitanic".

  • Awesome.

  • Just don't ask for iceberg lettuce

    Sorry, too far.

  • no, that was good.
