This looks absolutely horrific, I wasn't expecting him to be hitting it with such speed and force.
-
• #4453
At least by lifting the big crane some of the energy was transferred.
Missed the race. Have read about it. Don't want to watch this.
-
• #4454
The video is horrible, the amount of force you can just see going into it is unbelievable. I hope he pulls through.
-
• #4455
Fuck, hope he pulls through.

Great qualifying today. Danil Kvyet pulled out a blinder. But why on earth did Jenson seem so down? He did well.
Could this rumour have anything to do with it?

• #4457
Bottas' lap was quite something. ^ I hope button stays - he's clearly still good enough to win races given the right car.
-
• #4458
Hopefully that race stops people complaining about the high-degradation tyres!
-
• #4459
yep - that was a pretty dull race.
-
• #4460
I wonder how long the highlights show will be? About five minutes probably.
-
• #4461
The beginning was pretty awesome with cars scrambling all over the place as the order went from best quali pace to best race pace. But after 10 minutes or so it was just watching the gaps grow larger between the cars.

Marrussia into administration now, joining Caterham not racing this weekend... massive shame

It's a shambles.
Going to look stupid, especially for Mr E. Trying to break into the USA fanbase and two teams can't race due to money problems. If Mr E was a little more genrous, or even a little more fair with the revenue F1 creates none of this would have happened.

So if it stays as it is, if we lose another team, soem teams would have to field 3 cars next year.
While, I don't know the exact rules for that (if all do, or just the top 2, or whatever), that would certainly make things interesting...
Mercedes: Lewis, Rosberg AND Alonso? Surely three big drivers would be too many?
Red Bull would just promote another young driver I guess.
Mclaren would then maybe keep Button after all, especially if they didn't get Alonso.
Ferrari would have promoted Bianchi I guess, but given that it's unlikely that he'd be healthy (even assuming the best case scenario), maybe another Ferrari development driver. Or Bottas? -
• #4467
Would introduce the possibility of a 1,2,3 finish, which would be quite fun
-
• #4468
Oh look. Rosberg beat Hamilton to Pole. On equal terms.
-
• #4469
What a confusing post.
-
• #4470
It's actually a competition based on who wins the races. So let's wait and see hey?
-
• #4471
What he said ^
-
• #4472
Lewis was the better one, it was clear....... The immediate comment from Niki Lauda, post race.
Niki Lauda eh? He knows nothing.
-
• #4473
Haha!

Just 'cos you're a fanboy, doesn't mean you're necessarily wrong...

Curses.
Bloody good race though. Midfield action was where it was at.
Maldonado in the points, even with his stupid mistakes! Most unexpected.
It must take a hell of a lot of force to lift a big crane thing off the ground and move it several feet. That is a lot of kinetic energy to disperse. He is not going to recover very quickly from this, if at all. :-(
I can only imagine how the guys on the team must be feeling too with the memory of Maria de Vilotta so fresh in their minds.
