  • TBH I'm not overly bothered what Hamilton says or feels.

I just love watching everyone race and all the shit storms that go with it.

I also think Maldonado is a true racer and a danger man. I think he's got a good psychological edge on many other drivers, particularly over Hamilton now due to his all or nothing super Maldonado kart racing style. This is a good thing.

  • This is indeed a very good thing.

  • Pastor could have at least tried to turn left whilst off the circuit and rejoined nearer the end of the run-off area. Costly dick more as far as I'm concerned.

He did turn left, got pushed onto the rumble strip, the plank was in contact with the ground so he couldn't steer and he went into Hamilton. Personally I think it was Hamilton being a bit stubborn after being too conservative against Grosjean on the same corner earlier in the race and losing the place.

  • From what I can see, Maldonardo was over the rumble strip and then tried to rejoin the track. Hamilton didn't give him any space (I don't think he needed to) and paid quite a heavy price.

Still, the way his tyres were, he'd probably have been in the wall on the next corner anyway.

  • Lewis knew his tyres were gone and he knew it, he wanted to keep Maldonado behind him for a lap and a half who had much better tyres. We all know that wasn't happening, look at Kimi in China, 2nd to 8th in a lap with bad tyres. He should've cut his losses like he's done all season and play for points, not for the win. It was that attitude that had him at the top of the table before this race.

  • Good and fair analyses. I couldn't comment, as I am clearly biased, it would only send b&d into some sort of spasm. I do worry.

    .

  • Talk of a London GP in todays Metro. Hamilton and Button have helped design the circuit and they are presenting it to some bigwigs tonight

  • If Herman Tilke is involved it will still be shit.

  • There's hardly enough space for Tilke to have much effect, is there?

  • Probably not, but he can still try to add his own brand of dullness.

  • I doubt Tilke will be involved much. I heard this morning on R4 that it's been proposed that it will take in locations such as The Mall and Trafalgar Sq. so another street circuit. My guess is that LH and JB will be involved with exactly what route around the city it will take.
Funny thing is the Bernie has said he'll pay for it, unlike usually asking the venue to pay him countless millions to host it.
    Sounds like a plan.

  • F1 equivalent of the marathon ride then?

  • LH and JB are involved in designing it because they'll both be mini-cabbing when they finish racing.

  • Bad crash for Marussia tester Maria de Villota:

Hopefully she makes it, but it doesn't sound good.

  • Thoughts are with her.

  • Amazingly, she's stable apparently. Head and face injuries.

  • She has regained consciousness, apparently the top of the car and her helmet took the brunt of the impact. Sounds really nasty.

  • I'm glad there's progress.

  • ^Crafty ninja edit there!

  • The career that she no doubt worked hard for looks to be over as she has lost her right eye.

  • Poor girl.

  • Sad news.

  • What a shame for her :(
