  • Don't understand this, Valencia is producing an exciting gp. Oh and haha - Vettel

  • Prepare for Hamilton's bid for tantrum of the year.

  • Pastor is a cunt though

  • Congrats to Alonso for an excellent drive.

  • Don't understand this, Valencia is producing an exciting gp. Oh and haha - Vettel

but no more Valencia on the calendar next year...

  • One exciting race does not make up for all the 2 hour processions that have gone before.

  • Forza Ferrari? Ha.

Shows what I know. Well done Alonso, but disappointed for Grosjean.

  • but no more Valencia on the calendar next year...

but it is for 2014 though, and with NYC and London to be added to the calendar be prepared for more street circuits.

  • Where the fuck are they going to drive in London?!

  • The london one is far from certain, the bid to use the Olympic park is the rank outsider to actually be selected. If it did happen it would, in all likelihood, be an absolute farce.

  • They should allow some wildcard drivers to enter. The local minicab drivers would make mincemeat of Lewis et al.

  • Perhaps I was too optimistic about the London bid. Still. Valencia every other year, Monaco, Singapore and NYC, that's a lot of street circuits.

  • Is Albert Park being taken off the calendar?

  • Richmond Park- triple the width of the road, ask the deer to stay at the inlaws for the weekend, job done.

  • Is Albert Park being taken off the calendar?

    One can live in hope.

  • I've come to realise there's quite a lot of negativity from some of you in this thread. Sort your lives out...

Anyway I thought that was amazing race!! Just about managed to watch it on Sunday after my stag do. Couldn't do much else.

Someone at Viry must be getting a pretty hard roasting over those alternator failures on Vettel and Grosjean's engines. Two potential wins lost there!! Reckon Grosjean could have caught Vettel for the win?
Even so such a great race. Proper wheel banging racing going on with inevitable/controversial results. Fantastic! Some seriously good drives all the way through the field. Great podium result. Alonso must be feeling like some kind of hero right now.

Shame I'll miss Siverstone, I reckon it will be another stormer of a race, however I think getting married probably trumps it.

  • Quit moaning about the moaners.

  • Congrats gridds. Hope your wedding goes off really well. As for the other points you've made, its a bit hopeful to expect a happy***** camp on here. :-)

***** So many people on this forum, think its so much better to denigrate, than to celebrate something. I came onto this thread because I've loved Formula 1 since I first ever saw it live on TV; watching Keke Rosberg with his tail-out antics around corners. Years later, I was cheering on Nige, then Damon, then booing Schumey, and latterly cheering on Lewis. I even cheer on Alonso as well (though through gritted teeth), because to me, he is the epitome of talent.

  • Don't know about you lot, but I have no idea what gridds is on about.

    Congratulations on getting married!

  • Cheers gents.

Just some people having too much hate toward some drivers. Why you so mad?

Pastor Maldonado isn't a cunt, I know - I've met him and he's actually a very nice guy, he's just a perhaps sometimes overly aggressive racing driver. The move he pulled on Lewis was very very similar to the one Grosjean pulled on Lewis earlier in the race in the same place, only that time Lewis gave Romain more room than he gave Pastor. So you could say that it was Lewis' fault for pushing Pastor onto the curb where he had no steering leading to the inevitable. Either way, sure, things could have been done differnently but this is racing. I don't understand all the Lewis hate either. These guys are just trying to race the fastest cars on the planet and they obviously don't like it when things don't go their way - can you blame them?

I just think life should be viewed in a positive light rather than a hateful and negative one, but then that's just me. I think it's better for you, law of attraction and all that. Anyway, it's probably useless me trying to say anything to any of you so I'll just let it be...

    As you were...

  • I wouldn't call pastor a cunt but it seemed like a fair penalty.he was off the track, probably because Lewis was driving without any grip and had swung wider than pastor expected. pastor should probably have been more cautious around such an erratic car but it was the penultimate lap - what are you gonna do? take the chance against someone who is clearly struggling or sit back in the hope you'll get another chance?

  • F1 drivers' desire is to win whereas it's Lewis' desire to win but whinge when he doesn't.

The rest of them seem to accept that they haven't won and work on the next race.

I'm surprised he doesn't make a bid for shares in the furniture store "Dwell".

  • Cheers gents.

^ This. Not only does being so biased lead to petty arguments, but it gets to the point where people will just ignore posts by overly biased members as you're fairly sure it's going to be the same old story. What's the point on posting on a discussion forum when no one is going to listen to you?

Anyway, it was an awesome race and who would've thought at the start of the season that it would be Alonso leading from Webber at this stage?

Quotes from the McLaren PR department. Did you see his post race interview on the BBC? Obviously not his true feelings, would get more respect if he'd told the truth.

Nothing wrong with showing some emotion. Bring back James Hunt, Piquet, Senna or Schumacher in his early career, they'd have punched Pastor.

I think Pastor is great, true racer.
