BBC commentary team for next season is going to be Martin Brundle (main) with David Coulthard as his co-comentator. I'm not a great fan of Coulthard, seems a bit dull, and has a bias towards Red Bull. I tend to switch to the Croft/Davidson feed from Radio 5 for the race, but I'll give the Brundle/Coulthard a go at the start of the season.

Can't stand Coulthard as a pundit let alone a commentator, Crofty & Brundle would've been best, maybe stick Davidson in there too.

at least we won't have to listen to those two hats (eddie + the jaw) bitchfight about each other's trousers.
"you don't know what you're talking about because you weren't a driver"
"you don't know what it's like to manage a team"fuck off you pair of kunts.
if they get a cock in to partner eddie, i may boycott the bbc sound.
sorry.

sorry BRM, too good to be true:
"Coulthard will continue as a pundit alongside Jordan, but will head up to the commentary box in time for the start of the race , at which point Jordan will be the BBC's analyst in the paddock."
another year of eddie fucking jordan... kill me now.

We need someone like Eddie, someone who isn't afraid to set the cat amongst the pigeons and ask the direct questions we want the answers to. Something DC et al don't have the balls to do.

Eddie is awesome, ok I admit it, I think they're all great. -
• #1908
It's not going to happen, but if Eddie Irvine could be brought in, it would liven things up a hell of a lot.

New Ferrari due to be unveiled today.

• #1911
Ferrari launch was a bit of a let down to say the least..
As far as i can tell, they've spent most of the winter working out what to call it.
F150... cause that's about all i can see is different from last years. The article ends by saying the car will probably not look anything like this by the time the first race comes round..... So what was the point of todays exercise?!
-
• #1912
I have to admit, the F150 certainly will stand out from the crowd...
-
• #1913
It would solve the overtaking problem ;)

First day of testing at Valencia, with Vettel fastest. Not that it means anything, this early.
Most interesting innovation was Renault's side exit exhaust. McLaren are supposed to have something similar.
-
• #1915
Apparently it's some sort of blown front diffuser on the Renault.

They should have an inverse relationship between horsepower and aero.
1,000 kg of downforce? Certainly sir, you may have 100 bhp.
10 kg of downforce? 1,500 bhp is permitted.

Just give them all a Lotus 49, fuck research and development, see how they fare then.

Ouch, poor Kubica, partially severed hand.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9388940.stm
I wonder who will replace him then. Grosjean was pretty rubbish, Senna might be better in a good car, maybe worth a punt.
But if they don't trust those two, what about Hulkenburg, no idea what his contractual situation is, but I'm amazed he hasn't got a race drive this year.
-
• #1919
Oh, Robert... That's it then.
-
• #1920
Real shame that, fast driver, and just as Renault were getting a decent car together...
-
• #1921
He has already spent half a year talking to a sport psychologist after the last crash (apart from his rehabilitation). He will never be the same with the fear lingering deep underneath the will to win.
And he will loose another season.
All too late. Slow cars. Fuck, what a waste of talent. -

can't believe this thread exists here. F1 is the most boring, costly and pointless sport in existence - except American football...

Kubica's crash is very shocking. Just as Renault looks like giving him a car that might challenge for victories.

Since when does sport have to be cost-effective and have a point?
Is Polo (with horses) cost effective? What about horse racing?
So what if F1 is for the staggeringly wealthy? Who're you to question what billionaires spend their pocket change on? At least some of the developments in F1 filter through to production cars.
