  • I quite often write to blogs about polo, where people can play, what's going on in London, links to the LHBPA site, etc. If anyone feels like taking this on I've just stumbled upon the London Cyclist's "Top Cycling" blogs... it'd be neat to send them all some content, news, etc:

    http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/features/top-50-bike-blogs-2011/

  • Full page pic of Gormley in Issue 5 of the Ride with his face split during the Open.

  • Badger reckons it's his "best portrait ever"... we might get it framed for him.

  • He got one just for his mum. Sweet.

  • brilliant

  • i've actually got a really short mallet.

  • "it is a bizarre, elitist game that uses way too much land"

what the shit is he talking about? tbf wooodrow you are looking a bit garage rock album cover there

  • The guy is a bike snob nyc wannabe.

  • Woop! I got a mention :)

  • we need to get out there, get more rad and stuff.

  • polo does cosplay too. just look at halloween!

  • jeez.

  • This has surely got to be an aprils fools day joke? 35 trees 70 mallets £8888.88

  • Which clearly meant a huge investment of time and money, without the strong likelihood of any tangible return. But we felt our bike polo mallet was so important that it should not be fettered by the economic dictates of mass production, nor the insistent throb of common sense.

    Ha!

    Also, that ad is hilarious!

  • i think shoots cut the making of, of the ad. It's quite interesting really how they comped it all together.

  • I liked the making of too, but the idea's a bit naff isn't it? Unquestionable British Tradition: Fox hunting, but the Brooks riders (a non-animal friendly product) are saving the fox? Confused.

Also, the bikes look unfit for the terrain, the mist looks fake as they're on the edge of the forrest and the lighting's off.

Considering all the equipment/funds I reckon they could've done a little better. Loved the april fools blog post though.

  • they might be on a cyclepath, like the tarmac ones you get in center parks?

    British Tradition. Italian bikes.

Does Yehuda Moon count as media?

  • Dangermouse does Downham...

  • if i squint, with my left eye closed, and look at that in a mirror with my right, through the bottom of a glass of beer, then i'd say that mousey bastard ripped that right off :P

  • Isn't that how you design most of your stuff?
