"Oh Shit" moments...

Had a minor oh shit moment this morning, lost front wheel on some gravel, as I fell I wasn't too worried, elbow out, started sliding along the ground, OH SHIT, the gravel was like fucking broken glass, tore my elbow to shreds. Actually looks like beef carpaccio. Lot of skin missing and a bit of flesh, this is going to be a bitch to heal.

Those are nasty. Clean it as best you can, even if that means getting in there with a nail brush, it'll hurt like hell but you want to get every last bit of grit out otherwise you run the risk of it going septic at a later date.

I expect it's going to leave a big purple scar like my knee has after taking a chunk out of it in the dales last year... Really glad I didn't get my elbow tattooed last year when having my left arm done....

Thanks for the advice Andy, I had planned to go home, clean it and iodine it but my gf made me go to the doctors, and the nurse there made me go to minor injuries.

They cleaned it a few times, then dressed it with this special cream that is meant to draw any remaining bits of debri out. Going to get it redressed in the morning, judging by the state of the bandage it is still bleeding /:

I actually work in a hospital and speaking to a nurse earlier she said she was surprised they didn't xray, I've been getting some tingly shooting pains from it this eve, up my arm, through my collarbone and into one of my teeth ( it's on the side I broke my collarbone last year) so will mention this to staff re-dressing in the morning and see what they think.

Not exactly sure what happened, but apparently I got killed in a biking accident… Literally… and somehow survived! The old ticker is fine though. Well not really. It seems my heart is oversized, hence I should be due a heart attack anytime soon. Other than that everything else is absolutely fucked. Lost the eyesight on one eye, which may or may not be repairable. Punctured both lungs, one will most likely have to go, ruptured my spleen which is now gone. Ruptured my liver, which is currently recuperating... No shit! One kidney gone. Lost my tongue and one ear, most of my teeth, lost one of my nuts let alone my dick, but apparently they can fix the latter. Virtually every bone in my body is broken, legs, arms, collarbones, ribs, hip, knees, you name it... all in all 86 fractures I'm told, not counting a crushed scull and severe neck and spinal injuries.

…and my ass is dead. Can't even have a shit. Ass is repairable though.
