Talking of heroin, Nico, one of the coolest women of all time, died while riding her bike, which was sad.

just before her death she had managed to kick the habit and had embarked on a regimen of exercise and healthy eating.
On 18 July 1988, while on holiday with her son in Ibiza, Spain, Nico had a minor heart attack while riding a bicycle and hit her head as she fell. A passing taxi driver found her unconscious and had difficulty getting her admitted to local hospitals. She was incorrectly diagnosed as suffering from heat-exposure and died the next day. X-rays later revealed a severe cerebral hemorrhage as the cause of death.
Damn!

I don't really follow cycle sport, nor am I a feminist (women chained to bed is fine with me) but this is ridiculous that her progress is not plastered everywhere across the news during the entire event,. British woman fucking owning this event and not a peep but the one balled wonder comes back and it's all Lance, this Lance that, Lance my fucking boil!

I'm always impressed by women and men carrying kids in child seats. It looks incredibly difficult getting on without the bike tipping over.
I think possibly my earliest memory is being propelled out of the child seat when my Mum came off the bike on black ice. Into a ditch full of stinging nettles. She never drove and we lived in the middle of nowhere, so we each had a few years in the childseat before we could cycle ourselves. Never traumatised me, though…

My mum used to carry me around in a child seat too. Apparently, I used to fall asleep a lot, and, my being a pretty big baby, the first she would know about it was when the bike would veer sideways as I lolled to one side.
