  • edscoble, your cat is cute as fuck

  • my dog is the same - try applaws dry food that is purely meat and veg, no filler. it's naturally quite moist and meaty, with no added nasties. it's expensive, but you don't need to feed that much of it....

Ah - I will try that, he hoovers down the Applaws wet food like it is going out of fashion. I'll check the labelling as the Applaws wet food is a complimentary food, perhaps the dry food is a full diet. Thanks for that!

  • Any ideas how I can get my cat to eat dried food? One cat eats both wet and dry food and is just fine, the other will not touch the dry food and is starting to show early signs of gingivitus. We're limiting the amount of food put down, and have tried mixing it and soaking it a little, but he just will not eat any of the crunchy stuff. Tried a few different varieties when he was a kitten but he's being stubborn as a mule. He'd rather go hungry ... I know it's not good for a cat not to eat for a few days so don't want to push it. Any ideas?

Have you tried stuff like this yet...?

... obviously not a food replacement, but could be worth a try to see if he is objecting to the texture, or taste, of whatever you've tried so far?

FWIW every cat I've owned would have your hand off to get at them!

the dog food is a complete food, so i reckon the cat version will be too.... when my dog is being particularly fussy i mix in a bit of wet food or some tuna and a little water which always does the trick.
