  • New date announced for accreditation on 27th March Thursday evening

    get in fast

  • I work too much.

  • Good skills session this afternoon, think the new pathway makes a lot of sense. Looking forward to stepping up to inters

  • With this new accreditation malarky, I've you've ridden at HH and raced, but not for the past year, and have no accredited card as of the old laissez faire system, where does that leave you?

  • It's all set out here...

    http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/sessions_and_training/session_pathway/

...however in very simple terms, from 1st April you can't train with the Inters on Saturdays or at Race Training on Mondays without having passed the new Training Accreditation. You can't race or take part in Advanced training sessions without having passed the new Race Accreditation.

  • I did read that, but it didn't really talk about people who've been using the track happily before this new system came in and where it leaves them?

So I gather that anyone and everyone now has to do these 2 accreditations, regardless of past use or experience at the track?

  • I was at the training accreditation yesterday and saw a few faces that I'd known to have raced at HHV over the past few years. They all seemed happy to do it as it's the only fair way of ensuring everyone's competent.

  • So I gather that anyone and everyone now has to do these 2 accreditations, regardless of past use or experience at the track?

Yes, that's right, including all the coaches.

  • Don't get my wrong, I've absolutely no issue in doing them. I just want to get clear, so I don't turn up and not be able to ride.

Can you do race accreditation before training or do you need to do training first?

"All riders need to complete a Training Accreditation before doing a Race Accreditation"

  • More accreditation sessions have been added on the HHV website...

  • I've attended the past two ladies track sessions and one of the instructors mentioned the track skills session that is run on a Saturday. I'm thinking of attending this weekend but according to the session pathway I need an induction card. The instructor didn't mention anything about an induction card. Does that mean I can't participate?

  • Your induction at the ladies ought to count for track skills I'm sure. Perhaps someone can clarify.

  • Yes, if you've been through an induction and ridden at the Sunday ladies sessions you can participate in the Saturday Track Skills sessions.

  • Excellent, thanks for clearing that up. What time is track skills? 12pm?

  • Yes, that's correct. See you there.

  • Will be there again, unfortunately my order for a smaller tyre didn't go through so I'll be there on the orlowski with drops and a pointy uppy stem.

  • what happened last week? Tyres no fit in Pendle clearances?

  • Was told that my 23c tyres were too tight in the fork and at the DT so I won't be able to use them again there, I'll build up some track only tubs when I can.

  • tubs ftw

  • It's been a while.. think I'll show up for 'Track Skills' on Saturday at 12. May as well get back on the track and accredited in the new format there after. See you there, folks!

  • That narrows it down...

    That's Voijtek :)

  • 50 more training accreditation places added and a link to a list of all sessions is now on HHV website

  • Paging Ved..

  • Forecast is rain on Saturday, accreditation still likely to be going if it's not too heavy?
