Just checked the HH training programme which says Monday night training doesn't start until 6th April... Is that so? Guess there isn't enough light yet... Really fancy getting some sneaky laps in tonight...

Onionbag blog stuff is here: http://onionbagblog.blogspot.com/ with an article on the lease, tessa's visit etc. I used to get worried that I appeared to be stalking him, as over the summer our lives seem to involve exactly the same things.

Hi Joe, Good to see you too. The two advertised VCL Jumbles will be 2 May and 3 October. Where we charge £15 for a reserved pitch paid by cheque to VCL in advance. In between on every second Saturday of the month we have the unadvertised ones without a reserved pitch for £10 cash to the VCL for which receipts are given. Yours on 24th May then Veteran CC fun Day at HHV on Sun 7 June with the Charlotteville CC at Ripley Village Hall on 20June. there will be others at other places in between but you can find them in cycling weekly or on the net Campy Oldy
I think that's clear...

I'm going to give this a go I've just decided. I need to do an induction on a Saturday, after that is it OK to do training on Monday nights when it starts or do you have to do a few Saturday sessions first? What GI are people riding for HH? Anything else I need to know/need?

I'm thinking about visiting London's famous London during easter for my birthday. Aim to watch the Good Friday meet and then do the training session on Saturday morning.
A few Q's
Should the Saturday session be on as normal over the Easter weekend ?
Do they get busy ? Coming early recommended ?
Are you allowed to run cogs on both sides of a double fixed hub ?Ta !

It should be
Yes.Yes
As long as its secure then probably, but most people will have chainwhips etc so if they wont let you then someone will help/lend you the tools to get rid of it -

The correct answer to this is don't know, as the Monday sessions are new, so it remains to be seen how it will work. However, the difference between scooting round on the road and being confident and able on the track isn't only speed but confidence and calmness riding close in a fast-moving group. That takes time to learn (and is why more experienced riders are so nervous on Saturday morning sessions at the moment!). Come along to as many sessions as you can before putting yourself into the position of racing.
At Manchester, BTW, you need to do at least 3 or 4* levels *of training sessions before you're allowed to race full out with the quickest guys.
