for me the Mido lacks grace and balance - Strap to case is out of balance with the rest of the watch, the second numerals are warped [a pet hate of mine] the hour numerals are way too big, especially as they're on an inset circle, the minute and five minute markers look like they belong on a different watch and I'm not a fan of the deco hands.

I'm not an IWC fanboy but there is a sense of an integrated, cohesive aesthetic at work there

nice write up. I like your straightforward opinion. Remember, It is a 10th of the price though. I think the hour numbers are a little big and the lugs are odd, I think it oddly works I feel. Very retro. But I think overall, it's not your standard diver. I like the numbers and the black seems to make it cleaner. I love the internal bezel.

I'm with Wayne. I do like the watch CB, I like non standard cases, but a small tweak of the numbers and it would be a really lovely timepiece.

The watch I'm wearing for my wedding is an old quartz Bulova. It's a non standard case but with a really striking mad hatter/art deco face that I just really like.

Nice single hand watches. Interesting theory. Friend of mine at work wore a No 01 the other day. I quite like the balanced look of the face, all hour numbers have two digits.

I like the fact their logo is the musical symbol for a pause.

I really love them to look at but I don't think I'd want to buy one. I just love a decent sweep second hand too much.

so choose one of them, don't try and find one of your own.
look at the responses from a watch that has been posted, if it has a high "yes/wow/ want" factor, then it it is probably a damn good watch.

Agreed that one is better. It was just the first picture of one I could find. I meant I like their general style. And yes I'd get the above if money was no object. Think I might just hold out with my Casio until I can afford the Constellation.
