Stonehedge - I don't get it with the Chrono version of the Max Bill? For me the Junghans Max Bill was always about 'less is more'. So the single crown versions with fairly minimal faces (mine is a date version but it's nice to see the date wheel follows the numerical font of the face) seemed like the ones to have.

I thought I shared your opinion on this and ended up dithering for quite some time today. I ended up looking at and trying on all five options of Max Bill (even though one would have been more discounted than the others). I really don't like the day date version as that really is too crowded. I was torn over whether to go for numbers or batons but eventually went for batons. Anyway, I made a small change in choice...will post photo in a sec.

I like the two sub dials, one above the other...they seem to give it a nice balance with the branding on the left and the date on the right. Just my very humble opinion though. I'm really quite happy with it.
Crappy photo, sorry.

And this is how I broke it to 'er indoors.
"I was sitting at my desk typing away and there was this bright flash and puff of smoke and a tiny fairy wearing a pair of denim dungarees and some DMs appeared. She sprinkled some fairy dust on me and cast a spell over me that made me leave the building and get a bus to Charing Cross and go for a stroll along the Strand in the direction of Chancery Lane. As I was walking along I thought I’d go for a quick super quick sprint to loosen up my tight leg muscles. There I was, hooning it along like Usain Bolt and I caught my right toe on an uneven paving slab and I tripped violently in a superman pose a full 40 meters head first straight through the window of Alsal Watches. Now this is the truly amazing bit…as my head hit the glass it triggered a neurological spasm that caused my arm to twitch in the perfect sequence to remove my credit card from my wallet and by sheer coincidence the credit card slid right into the card reader and I managed to face plant my pin number in perfect sequence. It all would have been ok as I had not yet pressed “enter” but then a particularly large fragment of plate glass landed on it and pressed it for me. Now, I could have asked for a refund because this transaction was purely accidental but I felt really really bad about the damage I had done to their shop and I thought making that purchase was the least I could do."

Watch is pure sex. Mega jelly. That on a mesh strap is my forthcoming quiche.

Thanks chaps. Or ladies...just realised that I don't know most of the people behind the avatars on this thread.
Girlfriend approves too which is always nice.
Unless a pristine Air King 5700 turns up, this is the last watch for a while.

It is lovely, enjoy it in good health, weirdly I think I'd like it even more without the 2 pushers. But it is beautiful. In fact you've inspired me to get mine out - as it were...
Pic to follow.

Thanks VanUden.
It even sounds good.
I wasn't expecting the h and m chrono hands to have a jump action. Then again, I've never owned a chrono so that could be standard as far as I know.
I haven't been this pleased with a watch in a while. I'm very attached to my various Seikos and boutique divers but I've mostly grown more fond of them over the first few days I've had them. This one just hit the spot as soon as it was on my wrist.
Superdomed Armida A4 and Helson Sharkmaster 1000 for daily use with this piece of wrist sex coming out for more formal use I think.

I had the indignity of Multi Grooves trying on one of my Helsons on Tuesday only to discover that it wouldn't even go over his hand.

The Maurice de Mauriac Chronograph Modern comes in a 45 mm stainless steel case DLC treated case. It is also available in 42 mm or 39 mm if you prefer. The bezel is DLC, however, you can purchase additional bezels if you like, a stainless steel, gold bezel or diamond bezel are a few examples. Many high-end features are included (ceramic ball bearings, titanium screws, for example) as standard with these watches. If the "top" grade Valjoux 7750 movement is not fancy enough for you, just add a partially skeletonized 22K rotor, which you can enjoy through the clear caseback. You also have the ability to change your watch or purchase add-ons in the future. If you like to change the look of your watch, a special rubber bezel tool is optional and allows you to switch between bezels with ease (you can even switch between flat or domed sapphire if you like). Read more here.
