That's awesome G.
Not sure my girly wrists would wear a pocket watch well unfortunately...

coppiThat: That's really awesome! It really pops out and wearing a pocket watch on your wrist is not only strange (strange as in, you never see people that do that, at least I haven't) but also beautiful and interesting. I really like that the top is sticking out as well. Everyone will notice that, that's for sure! This is something I would wear.

I still like my watch.
I do need a good way to clean the NATO strap. Does anyone here have tips to get rid of the smell?

This arrived today, it's something of a grail watch for me only because it was made in the same year and month that I was born.
It's a Benrus Military mechanical standard issue watch, the movement is 17 jewel Swiss with a hacking second hand. When looking at the case I can't help but wonder where the minor dinks and scrapes have come from, as I have some good history on the watch.
It belonged to a Vietnam vet from Minnesota who did several tours of Vietnam during the war, documented by his photo albums.

^ So sweet, and further proof (if ever we needed it) that Mr Walken is the God of this thread :)
Am checking my Benrus now for tegnuts or brown filler.

^ Fuck me, all of those look awesome. That slim chrono sold for $1,100,000.
Is it just me or does this one look like a Seiko Monster?

that's great, I wish my pocket watch didn'thave a lead...
Just purchased my first 'new' watch in 20 years. Maybe a bit austere for some tastes, but I'm really chuffed with it.
