I doubt people wear divers watches to show off they are divers. The style is so unbiquitous that it's kind of lost its cachet back in the 70s.

Muff diver?

^^ It's just a bit gaudy but then each to their own. I genuinely do believe that 9 times out of 10 less is more. Sorry to harp on about Omega but if you wanted something genuinely classy and with the same functionality of the ML but for a lot less dorra you'd go for one of these:
Not a proper Speedy.
The only one to buy is the Professional. -

^ I was penny (grand) pinching.

I think that speedmaster is lovely , but no professional . And no box or papers .....cheaper one on chronomaster.co.uk .

£40 for an issued CWC G10. Be quick!
-
• #8236
What are the CWC's like? Might have to see if my father-in-law still has one knocking about!
-
• #8237
Iain what's going on with your Seamaster? I haz seen no pics!!
-
• #8238
CWCs are very nicely made. Can't remember the movement, maybe ETA?
Not to be confused with MWC who never issued watches to the forces!

You missed the saga it seems.
In short I took it to a professional who said it wasn't anywhere near as sold (not MINT in years)
Massive row with seller over returning it.
Jeweller couriered it back.
I made a huge loss in a week.
Cb is a nob.
Currently seller has lodge a complaint about my bad review of his behavior and we're waiting adjudication from fleaBay.I held the watch for about 5 mins out of all of this.

SKX009 arrived yesterday, could do with being marginally bigger (but I have been wearing a GX56 for the last few months, 56mm square G-shock)
rubber strap will need to go, gonna tap up murts for a starp before too long.Oh, just to rage in on typical online discussions of the 009, the face looks greyer than blue, certainly less blue than the Pepsi dial.
looks good though -

Not a proper Speedy.
The only one to buy is the Professional.I like the look of the Speedmaster Reduced (Size) as I have relatively thin wrists. Do you reckon that's a bad idea?

pics? And what size is it cause yoou can get different sizes.
I am tempted by the 44mm(?) even though its got a bezel
-
• #8243
Wasnt aware of larger sizes :(
this one is officially 42mm
I'll chuck a photo up laters -
• #8244
i may be lying... But im sure you can get bigger.
-
• #8246
42 is the size of the skx'es
they do make a smaller pepsi bezel model, or at least they used to.
some of the more expensive models might be a tad bigger.fwiw I find my 009 on the limit size and weight wise.
-
• #8247
Iain...have you thought about a shark diver 45?
-
• #8248
I'm quite happy with the 42, I certainly wouldn't want smaller.
But then I am rather large. -
• #8249
Ive got a 40 and that is fine on my wrist. Im not exactly small. They wear quite large.
Ian...if you wanted to have a look at my steinhart you could have a try of my Armida and Helson.
