The Beuchat is cool.
Call me basic, but if I was choosing one it would be the Sea Dweller.

I've come to the conclusion I hate metal bracelet straps. Too much jangling when commuting. What would you aficionados recommend as the most comfortable and relatively tough alternative? I'm thinking nylon NATO or rubber, don't want leather.
And is it easy to swap yourself or should I get a shop involved. -

Best way is to try
It’s worth having the little pin tool. Cheap as.

I have a hybrid rubber. I had NATO but it gets horrid dirty. I also find the Tide straps Chris ward do very comfy.

More Tudor here.
Would also agree with skinny about the Christopher Ward Tide straps being decent.

Newb question on ordering from Chrono 24 EU seller based in Rotterdam.
Assuming I should factor in a 20% VAT cost on top of the list price and there's no way round this, should I expect any other charges? Have read up on it a bit, just a final sense-check I'm not paying something I can avoid.

That Ventura... beautiful

no. you'll pay 20% vat on the import value plus a bit from the shipping company for their troubles (assuming it's over £135). avoiding it would be tax evasion

Thank you, that's what I was expecting. Just sense checking I'd read the right info!

An Erika’s MN gets my vote, they’re expensive but the most comfortable version of an elasticated nato IME. There are lots of cheap copies but the advantage of the Erika’s is that they are made to exactly the length you specify.
The only issue is they do absorb sweat and grime and get a stank on so need regular washing (in the washing machine, inside a protective bag… and removed from the watch… obvs).

Ha just got mine back from GO having the hybrid strap, with the buckle costing more than the strap but it was worth it, strap and buckle are awesome feel and quality.
Another pic on a £10 NATO which I do love, has a slight elastic spring to it and goes well too
Happy Friday all!

@Regal Yes, I still have the JB200, but it hasn’t seen any wrist time recently.. not sure why to be honest..
@hurricane_run the very first was a Sub 14060, later I bought the green one, about 18 months later, I sold the 14060 to finance the snowflake etc
Not sure why I love the so much, my dad is a great recreational diver, I remember him spending all the holidays at the dive center in Corsica, or going with him to weekend in Belgium, helping them prepare their stuff to dive into old chalk quarry, in a 7 degree water with 3 meter visibility..
At that time he wore the Beuchat on the picture, later replaced by one with an integrated depth scale..
When able to buy one, he ended up getting himself a black sub date, he wears it every day since..
