I didn’t take nearly enough pics. But the combination of my less than great phone camera and the spotlighting meant that stuff wasn’t coming out great anyway.

GS was probably the main highlight… they had a bunch of the serious almost-£100k masterwork pieces there. I also got to try a couple of the seasons pieces on.

Next for me was Voutilainen - belatedly realised we were talking to the man himself… very cool stuff, if quite off the wall. Took zero pics. 😬

Some nice Junghans and Sinn too. Really liked the white dial 41mm UTC.

Oh, also Roger Smith was in attendance.

Nah, $50k tops.

What is it with GS and absolutely shit product photography?

The “GS9 Club” site that they run actually has some proper photography which does suggest that they realise that the Seiko corporate product photography standards are not doing them any favours.

CGI no?

It’s a weird mix of CGI, photography and bad photoshopping. However they create the main product shots, they rarely look like the actual watch does IRL.

The design of the page doesn't help either; there's nothing to draw you in at all. Could be any old watch.

@pawg we had a good chat with Doxa too, some crabon case new stuff. I was surprised that the dials seemed small but I think this is because the bezels are quite large. A very vintage feel to them. Also nice to see a decent spread of Sinn in person, it feels like forever since I went into a watch shop.
