CWC have brought out a replica of the original G10, known as the fatboy, which was thicker than the current standard spec, due to the movement initially used.
It retains the original version's domed acrylic crystal and is now called the CWC G10 FATBOY-80. I like the fact that the battery is still user-replaceable, though it would have been nice to have some additional water-resistance (3 ATM). [Edit: I just noticed that they have used the current handset which has a different lume insert, rather than the original style, which is a pity]Here is the late, great, Leonard Cohen wearing his original.

A special edition set they did for the 60th anniversary of the Max Bill watch. One is a standard automatic with date, one is a small seconds quartz with radio time sync, and the third is this regulator automatic. Regulator meaning the minutes and hands are on separate (sub) dials.
All have black PVD cases, black hands and orange lume. I hadn’t seen them before, they’d passed me by.

Yeah I mean in that particular article the images are heavily CGId/photoshopped but it’s to the standard you’d expect from any other high end brand and at least you can see what the watch is supposed to look like. There’s some decent, if short, articles on that site, there are a few club-exclusive ones which are a nice bonus for (recent, new) GS owners.

Actually found myself liking some Grand Seikos there!

Cheers. Somehow I missed that.

Yeah it’s Ti. Nice and light even with the chonky bracelet.
Sadly not a double cuff shirt. Lumed cuff links is a great idea.

Off the new watch wagon for a bit - until house renovations have been completed.
I think when that happens I would like the new 124060 sub to go alongside the Explorer but chance will be a fine thing
-
• #59172
Fair enough chap. If and when you do start looking into it it’s definitely worth speaking to whoever you bought the Explorer from, if it was new from an AD. Any purchase history puts you ahead of all the folks with none who also want a Sub.

Bargain. I've barely worn anything else since I got mine. It's a much nicer watch than the pictures suggest.

anybody thinking about selling a LHD Pelagos before I enter the the world of Ebay/ Chrono24?
No pics of this, sorry, but I also liked this Junghans Max Bill regulator with black PVD case. Would look great with a black strap I reckon.
Sold as a box set of three watches, apparently retailers are allowed to split the set though.
