Sorry, looks like you're correct. I know they have another store so thought that stocked Rolex as I've only been to the Winchester one but can't see it in that store via the virtual tour.
Also seen that the same gent got a BB58 pretty much straight after, so maybe that was part of the deal with Ed for the Rolex link up? Not really sure but Ed did comment that he was chuffed to see him secure it. Guess it's the same old story of who you know, or spending years on other watches and jewelry. -

Bought this as a stand in beater a couple of years back but it’s been in Ireland while I’ve been in London, reunited this evening

How long had it not seen the sun for ?
I’ve left mine in a drawer in France since August , I’m guessing I wont see it until June/ July .... it’ll be doing well to be ticking -

Quite like the new Breitling AVI re-edition

No war and piece text on the dial.
Also not crazy breitling big at only 41 and thin too

Big yes

I left in on the window sill last year, just in case.

Breitling AVI
Typically only thin because it’s hand wound. Wish other companies could sort some decent slimmer movements so that auto chronos could be less than 14/15mm

Any Drive de Cartier fans on here?
If you had to choose, would you go slim or normal?
I would miss a running seconds but I also value thinness. And at 6 point whatever mm, you don't get much thinner.

This looks great, looks a nice shade of purple, is it? Or just the reflection?

This does look good.

The extra flat is hand wind right? I'd love to be able to justify a yellow gold one as a dress watch - perhaps the auto in steel has more wearability though.

No help from me. The only thing I like about Cartier is how they hide “Cartier” in the Roman numerals. Very cool.

Extra-flat all the way for me, I think it's a great watch. I normally like small seconds but on the Drive I feel it doesn't sit that well with the distinctive shape (nor does the date).

The extra flat is hand wind right
That is correct. Another reason why I'm siding with the flat

Thanks all. Appreciated. I loved them in 2016 when they were first released and I still love them now which is a good sign that I really do like them.

I love it as i said before and i will have it at some point. I prefer the normal one. The flat is too plain
