Omega do one but it’s costly coming with a Speedmaster. It works well though.

Happy Birthday - fantastic prezzie. You have a good wife there!
Enjoy the watch but don’t forget about her! And speaking from personal experience, that’s not easy!! 😁 -

Woop! Happy birthday!

Hahaha, I bought her a Rolex last year. Thankfully she really loves it. I guess we are even now 😂

Don't want to scratch the bracelet trying to adjust it so it's the included NATO for now. Weird how now that it's on it feels special... But not so special I'm scared or wearing it. Most excellent.

That looks like a fun mod. I definitely have neither the tools nor the stones to help though. My guess is that any watch repairer would want to service the inbound movement but wouldn't charge extra for swapping the movement over as they were doing the service. If you're using a new movement you might even want to do it yourself? A hand press is only £15, other than a clean workbench what else would you need?

what else would you need?
An uninterrupted period of time to do it!
Yeah I thought I'd ask in case it was something you were interested in.
After this watches lacklustre performance I would probably want the unbound movement to be serviced or checked over. I just need to find someone not too expensive. As much as I enjoy the watch - especially now with the bracelet, which I think has really made it - there's a point at which a cheap modified seiko becomes a false economy... although until my home insurance comes back down I wouldn't want any other watch.

Tell people on r/watches that. Some people have multiple $1k+ modded SKX’s. I don’t get it. Just buy the watch you’re imitating.

@spunk_nautical @hugo7 @h2o thanks for the suggestions! Glycine airmans look interesting and they have quite a range of sizes available too. Will ponder.

That is super.
I had a Nomos Tangente in gold which I foolishly sold . And I regret it every day. -
• #33069
I bought this three and a half years ago and entirely forgot about it so it's effectively a new watch as I'd never worn it before

I learnt my lesson with bicycles that I wish I never sold.
New fountain pen as well later....😊

Got myself one of these Newmark reissues. It’s got a Seiko Quartz movement with sweeping centre-seconds. Acts just like a mechanical.

Thanks all! I really didn't expect this gift so it's a real surprise. Will be spending the day looking at it and adjusting the bracelet. Although will look for an appropriate leather strap.
Need a diver of equal quality now....
(Not really, between my G-Shock and my old citizen promaster and Seiko Padi I have enough underwater watches)
I see this Speedmaster being worn every day. Love it.
