To be fair, how often are you paying attention to the status of a friends watch on their wrist when together. Then add a load of gargle into the mix.
In a similar vein, I know of at least half a dozen instances where (myself included) mates have locked a bike somewhere pissed, gone drinking some more, and returned to where they think they locked their bike. Cue whatsapp chaos stating bike is robbed, only to stumble across it inoccuously a few days later, at the location it was actually locked.
Here's hoping this guy shoved it in a random drawer at home or similar when he got home and forgot about it.

My mate had a rather large night out on friday, and woke up unable to
find his speedmaster. He's obviously gutted and doing all he can to
put feelers out.It will sound obvious, but I assume he's checked in and around bed/ headboard/ behind bedside table/ couch/ anywhere you would flop down and haphazardly take a watch off when you come in the door pissed.

Is there a dashcam out there that can send footage (or a low res cached version) to your phone via app or similar? A system where you press a button on the camera unit and it saves the previous 30/ 60 seconds and sends it to an app on your phone? I know it would require a wifi/ data connection between the dashcam and phone but it would be good if it could store marked clips on the unit itself until you connect to your phone via hotspot or whatever, then pings the marked clips across.
Seeing some stuff about a crowd called Nexar that could offer something like this but seeing mixed reviews on the actual products.
I like to review minor infractions when they happen around me on the road but taking out the micro SD card from the Nextwave I have is a fiddly pain and then the whole process of mounting the SD card on a computer etc. so I end up not being arsed.
Has anyone else had the sticky pad that affixes the dashcam mount to the windscreen fail over the summer due to the higher temperatures? Have had mine fall down quite a bit with the car parked in the drive and sometimes it sets the alarm off. So I've taken to taking the camera unit off the mount when I park up. Is it a case of replacing it with equvalent 3M sticky pads?

The secret ingredient is crime.
