@Stonehedge what was the make of the strap that I gave you with the Seiko? It might suit @Tenderloin's IWC?
Edit: I guess you answered it above, right?

natos = coloured tyres
If this forum had those cringy little signature boxes I'd be tempted to have this as my quote.

You gave me a strap with the Seiko? If you did, I somehow haven't seen it yet!

ahaha sorry no i didn't - it's in my box of junk. It's really similar to the other watchgeko one you posted above, but made by zuludiver:

NATO - Not Avreyone Totally Opproves

Just had a flick through Reddit’s watches section - there are a shed load of beautiful Seikos there. Worth a look if you have 5 mins to drool.

I recently put a nato on my diver for purely practical purposes as it must stay secure in the surf. Thing is, it sucks. Bulky, makes the watch sit high, too many straps and buckles etc. And looks kinda shit. Not really a fan.

Glad I’m not the only one that feels this way. I really want to like them, but I don’t.
-
• #28637
Ironically, I had a cheap shit one and it was so much better because it was thinner, immediately comfortable and didn’t make the watch sit high.

I find good quality ones to be really practical and comfortable but I just can't bring myself to like the look of them.

Tho I took the piss before I do really like my SNZG09K1 on a brown leather Nato.

This is the watch equivalent of engraved campagnolo parts

I actually really like the engraving. Don't think it suits the Milgauss though.

Looks like a Pog slammer

Bang!

Do that to something you’re going to wear and keep forever not lock in a safe for two years and then sell. See this with good motorcycles being chopped and ‘badly cafe racered’ then put up for sale,,, ruined. What a waste.

Might polish out :-)

Definitely shouldn't ask, but can you buy a good 2nd hand Grand Seiko for £1,000?
-

There's some SBGX261's listed on Chrono24 for 1300, maybe you'll get lucky on a forum. Vintage Grand Seiko & King Seiko can be had for cheaper than that
My 2 piece perlon is now almost 1mm too narrow. For a fabric strap I think +1mm would be the idea size due to the compression of the fabric.
