You need to buy the Lepsi "watch scope" for 369 CHF in order to use the app.

Which is a bit steep as a decent timegrapher only costs about a ton with no need for a phone app.

I don't get Panerai.
I sort of know what you mean, but I do have to begrudgingly say that irl they almost universally look good.
Whereas I was sitting next to someone with a Pan Am GMT and honestly... it just looks a bit odd.
Anyone else really feeling Longines at the moment? Almost everything I'm seeing looks good

Yeah, it's hard to pin down what's "off" with them but I think it's the now dated giant, steampunk aesthetic that you find on things like U Boat etc.
But actually, their current stuff actually looks quite nice. The case shape, I'm guessing, os related to this thing: -

I'd be very happy to take the Russian one off you if it's still going?

I'm nuts deep into Longines at the moment. Have barely had this thing off my wrist since getting it.

It's unhelpful though because he lives in Glasgow

I don't suppose he has plans to be in London anytime soon?
Also, do you know what he is looking for it and the age etc?

Had mine for 30 years. Dropped it in the sea. Threw it at me wife (ex wife) and it stopped on the day and time. Fixed it. Got a new wife. New bits here and there but it will go to my grave with me.

I really wish people would stop marketing with computer generated images and use photos of actual watches. That looks fucking shocking but I reckon it'd look nicer in the flesh.

He comes down quite regularly as he works for Linn, so I can ask him all the details.

That would be great - thanks.

The Lepsi - Watch Magnetism app is free. Uses your smartphone's sensor to detect magnetism.

Seems to be ticking but couldn't guarantee its longevity. Drop me a PM and give it a whirl, if it dies you could do a Tommy Cooper-esqe watch in a bag hammer trick.

Sorry, since I last spoke to him about a week ago, he's decided to keep it and has actually bought a bracelet for it so he's not selling any more.

Lol, while being real careful not to magnetise your watch with your phone speakers
-

Fair enough - thanks for asking.
Buying without trying it on is making me nervous but reviews all seem to give it a thumbs up.

Anyone wanting to justify a Milgauss or Railmaster, download the Lepsi app and test your watches.
