Like a silly Muppet...

Thanks kids. I do have my heart set on a more traditional manufacturer for this one, as I already have a Christopher Ward Trident which fulfils my Rolex Submariner homage itch, but definitely interested in what you guys have for sale.

Both @Dammit and @ObiWomKenobi are quality watches at a good price. You could check out creation watches for a Seiko if they don't tickle you.
You'll struggle to find a Junghans for that price not on ebay

The Junkers have the look of the Max Bill for around £300 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Junkers-Bauhaus-Automatic-Watch-6060-5/dp/B0066GKTM6

I want to upgrade the gearbox on my car so think i'm going to sell my max bill chronoscope (gold), - anyone interested before it goes on eBay?
-
• #18109
how much?
-
• #18111
they seem to go on eBay for around £1k, more on chrono24 (chrono24.co.uk/junghans/max-bill-chronoscope-farbe-braun-gold--id4061478.htm)
happily do it for £800 to save me the hassle and fees, it's in excellent condition, the strap is immaculate as I removed it straight away- i can do detail pics in a mo and courier it for safety of course
it's a lovely watch but i have a silly car that is costing me lots and want to look after it!

Sorry, plate or solid?
-
• #18113
Solid Gold? Srs.
Maybe Hublot / Audemars a bit moar G Wagon?
-
• #18114
Nah, I don't do plate.
(Lying, expecting a 40mm PAMalike Parnis in the post tomorrow to see if I can carry off gold and coffee)
But honestly, I'm not a fan of plate, and didn't know if Junghans came in proper Au,

£800 is a bargain.
Junghans don't do gold plate. It's high gold content pvd. Far more durable.

I liked the white face model, cos i is aging innit, and i can read the dial better.
Tried them on today, prefer the blue face model now, alaso the explorer 2 with the white face.
Decisions decisions, 1st world probs!
Anyone got a contact who'll do a deal?Im getting quoted full retail.I'm in Glasgow but dont mind travelling. -

Arrived today, exactly as described (owner bought it and then put it in the safe, not a mark).
I have stolen these pictures from Ach5's sales threat on TZUK;

http://i67.tinypic.com/xf3lzc.jpgCoffee coloured sandwich dial is lovely.
It's a nice piece of kit, and feels quality, but ah don' think it be me.
The Mrs is circling around it at the moment (which is a good thing as I might get my Breitling Colt back every now and then if she's rocking the PAMalike) but I suspect I'll be putting it back up on Sales Corner.
If anyone wants it then I'll sell for what I paid, £120, and the shipping cost is on me.

Don't diss 40mm BTW, as an almost all-dial configuration a PAM wears BIG at 40mm. I had a PAM0048 a couple of years back which was all the watch you need sizewise.
Just seem to be running a less ostentatious vibe these days (says the man trying to man-justify the idea of a Milgauss blue dial / green glass combo).
