You know how Tudor isn't sold in the UK (yet)? What does that actually mean in the age of the connected, global village? Can't a UK reseller just order a shipment and retail them over here?
No they can't .

Chuffed to bits because tomorrow I'll have this show up :)
Not getting the bracelet (not a fan of the Jubilees at all), but am getting both bezel inserts. Have a bunch of NATOs to keep it on and experiment with for a while, but plan at some point to find a decent Oyster bracelet for it (though I have a feeling it may still spend a large part of it's time on a NATO).
strong work

Yes, that's been established, I guess my question was 'why not?'

Not allowed . No stockists in the UK currently , so without an official agency in place you can't order stock .
Rolex and Tudor have very strict criteria that must be met before you can be a stockist . Is done to ensure quality of agencies and customer service is met . -

Picked up a Seiko 5 for everyday wear for £8 on eBay. Bought a new band because there are a few ropey looking links, which I'll fit when I can be bothered.

I like this a lot. Worth £495 price tag?
-
• #12337
I'm gonna say no. probably wrong.
-
• #12338
You are wrong. As long as the insides are in good condition thats an Okish price.
Gawdy as fuck though
-
• #12339
@OliverBall - it's kind of OK for that price but it's not a very sought after model. Honestly, if I were selling it I'd expect it to go for about £100 less.

I quite like the gold...although I prefer this being £200 cheaper
I may bite

^ Much nicer and much better price. Check the crown though, must be signed, not sure it looks original (from a distance).

It's interesting isn't it how fashions change. In the seventies a luxury watch almost had to be gold - today you can only wear one if its a dress watch at an evening event.
I reckon it will roll around again - probably a good time to buy classic gold watches?

Couldn't agree more. And I'd say gold is becoming more popular again judging by some of the catwalk stuff I've seen recently. It'll probably take a while to filter to men's, but I'll report back if I see anything interesting at London Collections in June.
farrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!
