Citizen watches are launching a new watch retailing around the 2k mark - I struggled to profile the sort of person that would buy a Citizen at that price, over a more prestigious brand. If anyone could offer their thoughts, I would be appreciated.

What is its usp? Why is it so expensive? What type of watch is it?

Citizen's premium brand Noblia was a big sponsor of the Louis Vuitton Cup yachting series in the 90s. They made limited edition quartz watches at that price point with LV on the dial. They all sold out quickly, probably to sailors. They aren't worth much now but people who had them, loved them.

Yes, fully manual. The reason it's so fancy is because it is very, very accurate for a mechanical watch.
