I'd tear your arm off for this, but a pal has just accepted a job at IWC...
Oh really?!?
This changes everything, I'll be in touch... ;)

Just had this come in part ex if anyone interested . Recent service in very nice condition indeed . If I hadn't just bought a new cross bike would have had myself , but wifey won't allow .
Gonna be between £ 3200 and £ 3500 , when I find out exactly what it owes us .

Fresh from Hong Kong... this one might divide opinion:
-
• #11532
What else does it do?
-
• #11533
It displays notifications from your phone (email, text, call, football scores etc etc) and has the ability to run 3rd party apps such as foursquare, yelp, gps / route guidance or whatever else you can think of that will run on your smartphone.

So you phone basically has a second screen attached to your wrist? Hmm.

• #11535
Yup

When will the display ads start? Will it switch to a viagra ad every time you go for a slash?
-
• #11537
Ha.
There business model has no need for advertising... it's not like they require any ongoing costs once you've bought the watch.
It's just a very useful addition to my smart phone. Most important is the ability to see football scores without having to check my phone. This will save me literally hours of withering looks during the season if we're out for dinner or meeting friends etc.

And eventually it'll display emails using the Spritz reader, which will be epic.

Interesting. Not sure if I could read a book in this format but still. Can't keep up at 600wpm but will give it a go tomorrow, plenty of time on my hands at the moment.
-

I can just about handle 600wpm but, as you say, it will obviously require practice to remember a lot of the content flashing in front of you.
I'm not sure i could work that easily with the Pebble because of its e-ink screen. I'm pretty sure it refreshes at 30Hz but it might cause some level of banding or judder.

Someone needs to program some classic watch dial skins for the Pebble... I'm tempted... Yours looks great, Tim...

Having played around a bit, I'm actually liking the more modern watch faces. This is the one I'll be sticking with for a while:

I wouldn't worry as you'll be going down like Divine Brown on that back seat.
Black strap , really is special . Your mate will probably have a HUGE qualifying period before he can help you out !
Go on , you know you want to !
And I will give a donation to site as well .......
