Not yet. Nothing came with the parcel but as it was sent to a business address, i assume their usual practice is to send a letter.

From the internet, it appears that everyone gets got for £38. I don't think i'm lucky enough to have gotten away with it.

  • Yes, fully manual. The reason it's so fancy is because it is very, very accurate for a mechanical watch.

An interesting bit of history (perhaps too much detail though) :

Man, rocking horse shit or what?

    Really beautiful, well jel...

  • Man, rocking horse shit or what?

    More common than you think.

  • Opinions on this Aqua Terra??

It's looking like my next purchase - not looking for approval from anyone, just wondered what people thought of it

  • Thoughts on this IWC replica - for sale on here

I like it but I know that some of these replicas are cheaper/worse than others - I cant work out if its a good one or a naff one...

  • That Omega Is stunning. Especially like the taper on the date window.

  • Moody IWC is a bit naff IMO

Devil is in the detail...it made me feel good when I tried it on, that's normally an expensive feeling!

  • Yeah, that IWC looks well dodge... Looks like the dial was knocked up on a laser printer...

  • Moody IWC is a bit naff IMO

    This one any better? !

  • Remind me a bit of a Timex.

Mine arrived on Monday, no customs sting. When I've been caught previously on imports I've had to pay the courier there and then so I reckon you're clear.

  • Hmmm. Still not confident.... the declaration form on the parcel had been filled in completely so I can't believe the value wasn't logged somewhere.

    Let's wait and see.

  • I didn't get nipped on the two original issue pebbles I bought either by the way.

Whilst on the pebble subject - totally got to get someone to code up that awesome quadrant of a clock face .gif that was on here a while ago!

  • Pretty sure that's already on the app store...

I agree but thought I could practice doing some mods on it (yes the dial!) etc and for it not being very pricey.

Maybe I'll give it a miss.

Very nice looking thing, and with George Daniels's superlative co-axial movement. What's not to like?

  • Where would you go for a decent manual watch? Are they significantly cheaper than automatics?

  • Anyone know if Seiko do an auto + manual wind + hacking movement? I'm after another diver - SKX007 style

  • Yes! In the office for the first time this week so got to unbox the pebble that's been waitingon my desk.

And with the new software version I can haz emails on my wrist! No more phone anxiety in meetings!

Now... Anyone want a Pebble classic, black version?

  • Which face is that? I was looking for a black background version....

  • Hop Picker with the colours inverted.

  • Is it on the app store?

  • Yep, just got it from there - search Hop Picker.
