  • I have to admit that whilst it feels like a high end watch the price is a bit rich.

But all these watches go for hilarious amounts of money...

At the end of the day a Steinhart sub and a Rolex sub are pretty much the same watch, we're only paying for the logo on the crown/dial cuz we're suckers...

IMHO a Speedy is a different kettle of fish, still wouldn't pay £2k for one tho'...

get your wife to do it

  • I've emailed my dude, btw

You already know my feelings on this subject...

    Suite...

  • I have a real urge to buy a steinhart diver but I really can't decide which one is nicest.

  • Got my heart set on the Vintage Red when I get some cash

  • I wouldn't bother guys.

It does not feel like a quality watch.

My Seiko's are more nicely finished than the Steinhart sub I owned.

    They have good resale tho.

  • Tudor sub is nice Joe.

It would have to be snowflake for me tho.

  • Steinhart pilots are good especially the tittytanium cases. They are lovely.

  • Received the Seamaster AT. Right little beauty.

Although I'd like a leather strap and deployment clasp for it. Googled original Omega ones and the cost is £500 for both. Fuck that.

    What's next best? Hirsch?

  • Tudor's are substantially steeper in price than the other sub homages though...

  • I sold a vintage red a while back. Impressive for the money but too much like a mini version of my Armida.

  • Oh and I sold it on eBay... Got more than I paid for it new

  • TS what reference is that Tudor? A mini-sub really is mini, 35mm including the crown.

  • It isn't actually a mini, it's a 75090, so 36mm... It's the smaller full-size... Rolex crown and case back...

  • What I find weird is that price gap between second hand Tudor sub's and a Rolex sub's doesn't seem to be that big.

But I guess the fact that Tudors sort of disappeared and aren't quite Rolexes, but sort or are, gives them extra kudos.

  • hipster rolexii, innit.

  • Joe, I'm genuinely jealous. Thats well nice. Tudor and Seiko FTW.

    love this:

  • hipster rolexii, innit.

only when teamed with a nato strap....

  • cancels NATO strap order

  • Tudors are great, well done Joe.

I was in a meeting with a Russian banker today and he had a gold Hublot on... black strap and dial.... I couldn't stop looking at it.... wouldn't have pissed on one if you'd asked me before seeing one in the flesh/

  • Hublot's are for people who don't really like watches.

  • titters

  • Yeah I know, have had to have a word with myself since. browses ebay

  • Now (easily) my most favourite dive watch (next to the other master compressor)

×the seiko doesn't count as that's just cute hipsterishness
