Is it only possible to buy a Steinhart without trying one on? As much as I love these two;
Paul, get over here and you can try on the remains of mine, and I'll feed you tea and talk bollocks. I've got a few different sizes of watch to have a feel of.

Alsal? They have done Seiko repairs for me in the past.
Getting there is pretty tricky though - as I dont work near and they aren't open at the weekend!

I've fallen in love with a Tudor Submariner... Gah!
And I just bought a new F-91W today!
£1700 is a lot of cash... I might do it tho'...

Not something I'm particularly proud of, Iain...
Just thrown in a cheeky £1500 bid... This one...

very nice, Joe.
just came across this, love the case shape.
although it's a homage, by Tudor?

I think it's an obscene amount of money to pay for anything really... But I'm a ponce...
I've always wanted a Tudor Sub. that's my justification... And the fact that a Speedy now costs ±£2k, so I'll probably never own one at that price...
-
• #11068
I think it's a great choice for you. As watch you've always wanted it's perfect.

• #11069
what's the tudor worth new? that seems a lot of money
-

Big fan of that.

They don't make these anymore, closest thing is a Pelagos and they're £2.5k new...
The rest of the Tudor range is €3.5k+ and totally gash...
-
• #11072
I tried on a Pelagos in Switzerland fully expecting to love it but it just doesn't do it for me in the flesh. In my opinion it looks much better in photos than in real life.
That said, the spring loaded bracelet is a really nice touch.

I like the pelagos case/bezel, but the hands and face are poo. 2.5k is hilarious.
-
• #11074
I have to admit that whilst it feels like a high end watch the price is a bit rich.

Good page...so far.
I like those Steinharts but all those sort of watches look like Submariners for people that can't afford a proper sub. I just wouldn't be able to get away from that. In my mind.
