yay! What time is the Ride North? Just noticed the date clash, though this will of course be vastly superior and win out if a decision has to be made.

And how does St. Germain relate to the start of the route, like I might skip St. Germain and go straight to start if the start of the ride is not at St. Germain but where the green flag is on the map?

Cafe St Germain seems like a nice spot to meet. It also lets me get in Hillside Drive and Central Hill beforehand. Cafe St G. is at the top of Anerly, isn't it? If we're doing the route I've posted we'll be going up and down that lump from 3 or 4 different sides. If we're not, and 6pt has variations it's still a good place to meet.

The ride starts at St. Germain and not where it says on the route then. That makes sense.

It's sort of clear that the post that started this was my "have I missed anything off this". 6pt then said "I'd like to do that route". I said "I'm doing this tomorrow" (perhaps not clearly stating "on my own/not in a group").
A list was started, no route was posted. A route still hasn't been posted. That route that I'm doing, can be modified so that we meet at CP, go down, warm up along College road and start up Canonbie and then doing various permutations of getting up the lump.

Wha? Me, I juss read "hill" and wrote, "please". S'offen the way.

Out of interest, my usual Sunday route features North's Haverstock Hill, West Hill, Swaines, up past Archway, then Muswell Hill. Could do thems on top? Every half-decent London hill in one go? It'd be a bit of a nightmare late on (traffic), but could be doable early.

The way I recall it happening is thus (shuffling responsibility here):
Fox was keen on a South London Hills ride. So was I, then there was a list because I didn't want to miss the list. There is no route, so there is Damo's route. After that I was just following the flow...
Have I done a bad?

Nobody's done a bad.
Let's not let this descend into finger pointing and blame.
Let us all meet at CP and ascend smoothly.

Descending is more fun (even if finger pointing waits at the bottom, waggling digits at you), but ascending's where the reward is. Can't wait.
