Christ, better find my legs before then. Got zero energy at the mo.
Roll on Dunwich...

I still don't know about Dunwich. I reckon if the weather's good, and there was an experienced group of TNRCesque riders pedalling conservatively to the beach, catching their breath, and then pedalling conservatively back to Sudbury Station (with perhaps a liberal stint of pedalling in the last 10 miles), I'd probably turn up.
Whether this set of precise circumstances arise is anyone's guess...

I am inexperienced at long rides but after seeing the DD and Fireflies sendoffs I have been itching to get into riding a bit more seriously. I'm on fixed but i'm determined to do some hills!
-
• #1841
^ that's cool. they are not long rides as such, just normally fairly nicely paced 30 -35 milers. dependent on which one we do there may be some honest climbs to tackle. watch this space dude
-
• #1842
Honest climbs. LOL I love that. As opposed to dishonest climbs which rob you of all your energy and any dignity you may have left before you get to the top

the flood forecasting centre has an alert out tonight = floods in surry...(they are saying up to 70mm in 6hrs).
what a pity there's no ride organised for tonight would have been perfect weather

I know about Dunwich. The was weather was good, and there was an experienced group of TNRC riders pedalling half way there eating some bad soup, and then pedalling conservatively back to **London and bed **(with perhaps a liberal stint of pedalling in the last 10 miles), **I did **turn up.
Whether this set of precise circumstances arise is anyone's guess...
fixed.

You looked wrecked, Tim, and I could sense Gav was riding with his eyes closed for a while between Ongar and Buckhurst Hill.
I could've done another 100 miles, but unfortunately I have a life to attend to.

Ok, here's the crack ladies, gents, and Veds.
TNRC - North Downs ride : Tuesday 14th July 2009
The train to catch departs London Victoria 19:09. The usual early meet to obtain tickets, and to hopefully grab a good spot on the train as soon as it arrives from it's inward journey will be required. somewhere between platforms 1-7, these are on the far left hand side of the station as you enter.
Arrival in sunny St Mary Cray is scheduled for 19:35.
With that in mind, the return trains to London look something like this:
St Mary Cray-Victoria
22:07-22:32
22:26-23:03
22:47-23:14
22:56-23:23- Clintsmoker (train out)
- jonny
- Shootthebreeze (no pulled muscles from standing up this time i hope)
- Clintsmoker (train out)
