  • I'm defo up for some group ticket action.

  • I think I'm going to go drinking instead. My bikes are out of action and my legs can't be bothered. Sorry chaps. Have fun!

**Aussie ** in drink over exercise shocker

  • Myself and a mate from work are looking to head out with you lot. See you at Marylebone. Will be up for the group booking if numbers allow.

Sad news Tim. Swell down soon.

  • That is why I do not trust Strawberries... Try some medlar next time, uhmm.
Hope you get well soon Tim

  • yeah i am only eating diamond shaped strawberries in the fyootch. you know the ones tim. and you know how we get 'em. be well for DD dude.

  • my Spanish good looks
went to Sl, but the mrs. jeopardised the ride by wanting to come with me so no riding on Sunday.

I can't have the late Norths pizza tonight

Arvy will from now on be known as "mañana".

Arv, when are you actualy going to come on one of these rides?

How was Slough by the way? (if you realy went).

    teehee

    Simon

  • swelling has gone and all the hives too. now i just have drowsyness from the tablets they gave me and the body is a bit knackered from going into hyper defensive mode. will be good for the DD though. enjoy the ride peeps see you all soon.

  • ^ hhhmmmm I know. maybe it was a bad reaction to that appointment. let's face it I've been eating strawberries all my life and then D' Matteo comes along and BAM i go all anaphalactic

  • You'll be missed senor.
    rest up...
    ya know
    have a bar b!

  • Could someone bring a spare inner tube for me please, I didn't get a chance to buy one today. I don't usually have one as I ride Gator skins.

    I'm in for group ticketing.

  • Thanks for the ride peeps. I am pretty wasted today. I have a silver Cateye light which was returned to me by the guy who had to turn back and help his mate. PM me and we can arrange a secret rendezvous...

  • Great to have experienced one more TNRC route. Really enjoyed it. There were a few hick-ups but luckily no serious consequences. Will add "complicated puncture" to my moleskin cycling vocabulary book right next to "honest climb".

  • A night with a mixture of strange energies....well is the TNRC!

Another session of good training for me with some nice chatting before, in the middle and after.

Thanks Jonny and shoots for leading us!

Tom, I'm glad you show up, hope to see you around even if you are too fast for me.
Tika and balmain, I'm very glad that in bad luck everything went very well.
Martin, you are ace!....in that difficult downhill down there fixed you reach 35.5 mph.

  • Despite the unplanned stop towards the end, highly enjoyable evening all round - sterling work on the route amendment front from Jonny and James to keep things together. Tika, hope you're ok - sorry to have run over your lovely bike.

Tom's(?) expert dealing with the 'angriest commuter in the world' on the second train and Marco's refusal to be beaten by a mere triple puncture on a pitlocked wheel showed the TNRC spirit at its best.

  • Hi I had a lovely ride.
I feel a bit stupid for falling like this, but in the end i even enjoyed the fall. I am sorry balmain for having messed you up. I hope that you can fix your brake lever easily. Today i am feeling well. I thought that I would be all swollen but I am fine.
Thanks to jonny for being patient with me and to all the TNRC crew that are RAD!
    Love Tika

  • Another fun trip with the TNRC

Well done to James for great navigation and enough local knowledge to get the miles into tight time slot.

Hope you all got some good sax action at Baker St from John.

No doubt I will see some of you on Saturday.

    Simon

  • Don't worry about it Tika - the Amersham locals obviously aren't paying enough taxes to sort out their potholes. Glad you're fine.

  • Lovely ride. Glad I made it out on my first one of these. Hopefuly get out on a few more before the year is up
Will get myself one of those Hope lights I think

  • mike, mashton posted a link here to the cheapest one some pages before

  • Cool. A light is currently about 4th on my list of bike related purchases so it may have to wait a while. Apparently, one of those Hopes can be purchased for around £70 though

  • Thanks James and Jonny for last nights TNRC, handled extremely well I thought considering the logistical and problematic challenges hurled at us from all angles. It was a great evening and an honour to ride with you all (old and new faces) I thought the TNRC spirit of us all was amazing.
    Hopefully see you in 2.

Print this screen off, take it into an Evans that has one in stock (product code is S406) and they should price match it on the spot. I did it yesterday @ Waterloo The Cut which is their big roadie store.

  • Jonny and Shoothebreeze for Sainthood...Ride was held together despite various complications (limits on number of bikes on train, 'complicated' flat tyre, accident and group splitting).

I lent someone a little Cateye light last night. Would be keen to get it back if possible as would like to have a spare on hand for Dunwich Dynamo.

  • I really enjoyed the ride last night, a nice spirit from everyone and I felt very welcome. Thanks to Johnny for the offer of an inner tube, thank god I didn't need it and also for staying with me at the back on the last few miles. A good dose of HTFU is needed (and a much lower GI ratio) for the next ride.

Big thanks to Simon aswell for kindly lending me your light, things could of been disaterous without it.
