It would look faster if it was red.

No, it would GO faster if it was red.

Nice, Sram brake levers? SRM cranks? Looks reassuringly expensive as well as fast
-
• #906
For domestic time trials only, I assume, with those illegal handlebars.

Now let's see it happen...

Anyone know what the TT course for 2012 is going to be?
Talk of Regents park...
-
• #912
**Yeah but only mentions the road race finish..
Regent's Park**
**Sports:** Road cycling, **Capacity:** 3,000 seats ![](http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/shared/img/999999.gif) Regent's Park had originally been earmarked to host baseball and softball but, when those sports were dropped from the Olympic calendar, found itself transformed into the final section of the road cycling course.
Temporary seats will be built around the finishing straight, while spectators can line the rest of the course, which travels through Hampstead Heath.
The seats will be built in June 2012 and dismantled immediately following the road cycling competition, returning the park to its usual state. -

Wow, that'd be great
Had my entry for the super fast Sotonia 10 on this coming Saturday returned yesterday, oversubscribed
gutted

Absolutely - she is focusing on the National 10, 25, 50 and 100, together with the World Duathlon championships. It is the same bike that Nicole Cooke rode at Beijing, with different bars.

Is it super fast in your experience, or are you just basing that on other people's reports? I don't seem to be able to go any faster on the A303 than I can on the A4 at Woolhampton, for example. This on fixed, which suits the flat A4 better. That P613 has a gift hill at the start where you'll be spinning out on whatever gear you need to grind up the hill just before the finish.

Basing entirely on what i've been told 'superfast dual carriage way' I don't know that area well enough to tell.
Just wanted to try and get a reasonable time somewhere and do a fastish course as opposed to the sporting courses i keep racing on.

Some very fast times have been done (course Record 18:44 by Dr Hutch, AFAIK), but it isn't for fixed and I think the really fast times depend on high traffic counts as well as the net elevation drop. Whatever you ride, it's going to be quick compared with a sporting course, but there are plenty of flattish courses out there which are nearly as fast, just without the extra 15s you can pick up by riding on a busy motorway.

Yeah, i'm fairly new to the south in terms of racing and don't know any yet. The 10 i did last October with Hippy in Great Missendon was a good course, would like to have a crack at that one again.
On the advice of a clubmate i'm going to do this on Saturday now
'Sydenham Wheelers have their April Fool club 10 on the Q10/18 Polehill course 'don't think it's fast but will be good training

Doing my first ever TT today, a 10 miler. Hoping to put up a good time as I've been training real hard even up to last night when I was sinking a few pints of the black stuff whilst running round the course on goggle street view.

Good luck - nice day for it.

Thanks guys. Not too sure about the nice day for it part as the forecast is for possible heavy showers and wind on the nose for the last third or so. Fingers crossed! It's the Southborough and District 10 on Q10/33 in Tenterden BTW.

Heavy showers = less rolling resistance ;)

Good luck.
Looks fast.
