Yes,
Meurig was 31 mins behind last time I checked.
Lets hope they attribute your 'fat bastard' comment to British 'Monty Piethon-type' humour,
rather than a straight laced Republican deletion for 'defamation'. -

Isn't Hippy normally Mr. Consistency in 12hr+ TTs? I'd be very surprised if he'd lost that much of his advantage in such a short space of time. Hopefully he'll do 1 lap more on the longer circuit than James, who'll have been put on the finishing circuit early.

The computer obviously hasn't been programmed for laps of different lengths, Meurig has probably done 437 miles. His elapsed time is different in the individual laps page too.
-
• #7880
He's caught up 30+ minutes inside of 2 hours? Seems unlikely, no?
nless they are still using the larger lap distance and the smaller lap time to do the working out.

Where's Mick Kilby when you need him?

I bet the septics will make a video of the 24hr worlds that will be a million times more Hollywood than this but a millions times less interesting.

Hoppo('s team) confirms on twitter that online results are out due to the early move to the finishing circuit.

In shorter distance TT news... want to win the BBAR? You'll need calves like these:
-
• #7885
Hippo back on top.
-
• #7886
Hippy back on top. 90 mins to go and about 13 miles up.
-
• #7887
8-10 miles up but won't hit 500 which is a pity. But a win is a win
-
• #7889
i really don't like the way they do the timing, keep on thinking james is breathing down his neck
very confusing
60 mins to go -
• #7891
Very confusing but looks as if he might hit 500. Go hippy!
-
• #7892
Elapsed time hasn't updated for 30+ minutes
-
• #7893
But miles seem to change as does average speed
-
• #7894
This is now hugely frustrating. 10 minutes to go and no update in ages.
-
• #7895
493 miles
-
• #7896
But 21.ph average would give him 516 in 24
-
• #7897
ahhh i see you've got a calculator on the go
-
• #7898
well thats it
time to get the tape measure out and see who won -
• #7899
Wish they would pop the results up.

i don't know about hippy but i'm knackered having sat here for the last 24hrs watching the screen
Reason for the 18 minute lap is because they've been moved onto the shorter finishing circuit early due to the wind, sounds like James could have caught and passed Hippy :(
