They come with stacks to go between the j-bracket and elbow cup, so you can put the extensions under the base bar if you like, and there are enough mounting holes on the elbow cups to get the pads almost over the centre of the base bar even if you do run them underslungThanks all!

TBH any wind condition will still be fast, I'm on the V718 this evening and it is sheltered, mostly the wind slows you down round the turn if there is any, you have to really work the turn hard otherwise you can lose a fair amount of speed.
Turns out I didn't work the turn, more worried about coming off as the roundabouts were wet :D . It's a funny old course, meant to be a big headwind return and it was super windy on the start line but was fairly consistent on the course itself.

One bonus is that my CdA is now 0.01 lower than a Drag2Zero rider: Aero-Coach 1 D2Z 0! Fingers crossed the conditions will be better for Saturday.

Well, I've entered my first open race, and my first 25. B25/33 courtesy of the Kings Lynn CC on 9th August. So's Cycliste. It'll be her first TT, and quite possibly the first time she's ridden her new TT bike. Or ridden with aero bars for that matter. #inatthedeepend

My old ones were Oval 'underslung', s-bends which I liked.
Omg could I have these off you?? I really want to get some and they don't do them any more (or anyone does anything similar, that I can find)

Strava data is fair game for analysis ;)
-
• #7135
I presume then it's not Strava's estimates you're working off. Is it accurate enough to judge to 0.01?

Magicman?

I'm sure Strava accurately reports the time and average power figures uploaded to it. The time presumably is accurate from the results, but the power figure is presumably subject to the minimum +/- 2% accuracy levels of all power meters.
-
• #7138
Strava doesn't take data directly from the power meter, just the recorded files from head units, so it doesn't add a level of inaccuracy or anything. Yep I can strip data off there and analyse it quite effectively, I do so often for eg. TTs and occasionally road races

Forecast for the V718 makes it ~6w faster than Wednesday, just based on air density alone. Let alone the more favourable wind direction

I can get more aero in the drops of my road bike than most of these sleeveless on their TT rigs.

The range on offer there is no worse than any domestic TT

I cycled past that today and you're quite wrong. Some totally abysmal positions. CTT look like they've all been to a tunnel in comparison.

I think you've forgotten that those participants will be running a marathon immediately afterwards...

can someone identify a pic or two from the link that you think shows a bad position? just had a quick glance and they all seem pretty standard to me but i don't know what i'm looking for...
