and dont get celeste cosmos - everyone has that...or pearl white. I've seen the Verde Aqua before -- it's gorgeous.
If I am to order the frame, it'll be British Racing Green. The best colour you lot ever came up with.

nice - very classy.
I want to see what the oxford blue + white decals + white lug lining would be like.
and dont get me wrong on the pearl white - I think it's a great color. I love this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7321766@N03/sets/72157606510383021/

good advice: http://absenter.org/2006/12/18/ordering-a-bob-jackson
*I’ve had the frame for nearly a year with no issues. It’s been my favourite bike I’ve owned to date. Since the Vigorelli is a grass track frame, the bottom bracket is higher than even standard track frames for extra clearance and so you may find the standover height a little taller than you’re used to. To me, I find this to be perfect since I ride the bike primarily for comfort, training and long distance and therefore a frame as such is so very comfortable. *
*While the standover might dissuade you from ordering your size, don’t let it. Order the size you are and revel in the joy that is to me, the best fit frame I’ve had yet.*
That is a fantastic looking bike, the main reason I started to look for a Bob Jackson. I love the curve on those forks.
Still, I continue to bitch about the SO. As the owner of the said Vigorelli, who is so keen on giving advice, is still showing more than his cock's worth of seatpost (I've about the same amount visible, though my penis is far, far bigger and meatier), I dare say that as he reminds people that his frame is *now *the perfect fit -- even though "you may find the standover height a little taller than you’re used to" -- his previous frame has been way too small for him.
If I go the BJ Vigorelli way, I will lose 2.5" inches of cock. Which, I take, means that the top tube is 2.5" higher than on my old bike. My inner leg length is 34" and the standover height of a 23" Vigorelli is about 33.5". I fear for my testes. This is the reason I believe I have to find someone with a frame close to those specs to try out.
But they are so beautiful, those Vigorellis. Sigh

nope. your math is entirely wrong. seatpost height should not be shorter.
And I have a 21.5" which has a SO height of 32" - my inseam is 32.5" - trust me. it is not a issue whatsoever. The rule of 1" inch of SO clearance for safety does not really apply to these bikes - mountain bikes, sure, but you'll be fine. I do not even feel the TT when I straddle the frame and it has never even come close to be being an issue when riding & getting off. I was worried myself just the same as you, but once I received my frame and built it up, all those worries disappeared.
Seriously, just get the correct fit and everything else falls into place. SO Height is not an issue with these frames.

When your a sicktastic fixenger, you never have to straddle the frame anyway. You jump on with style, and your feet don't touch the ground until you arrive at your destination, and majestically leap from your steed! HTFU!

Standover height is secondary to top tube length in my opinion.

Jesus, I do sound like a whiny bitch, don't I? My New Year's resolution: to quit questioning people who do know better.
Sorry about all that.

Yes, so I've understood.

That's mine!
It's not very metallic, I have to say.

Standover height?
I can't even believe we're having this conversation. I thought only Americans cared about that stuff - judging by half of the posts on US forums.

I've never been able to touch the ground when I'm sitting on the bike, seriously forget about the standover height, it's just bollocks.

ha
I actually have your bike pictures saved on my computer in my massive bike pictures folder. so, yeah, I admit to e-stalking that bike.
those wheels are sexy - what are they?

I sold them yesterday! To a guy called will who'se on here somewhere.
They're Campagnolo Omega tubs on low flange Dura-Ace (front) On One (rear). They ride really nicely.

Neither have I, well, except for a BMX bike, but I do like to be able to rest on the ground and not on my nuts when I'm off the saddle, over my top tube.

Hey olo. Out of interest (I'm ordering a Bob Jackson at the end of this month), did the inseam - 11" method work for you?
-
• #146
I'm going to order a Bob Jackson Vigorelli later on this month as well. Curious if the minus 11" works for others that have a BJ. I'm a girl so my inseam is just shy of 30" and my overall height is 5'3''

Curious. Does anyone know the current wait time on a custom Bob?
I want to get one with enough clearance to fit 32mm tires or 28mm tire w/fenders, and the Pauls dropouts are an absolute must!
-
• #148
3-4 months for a custom.
7-8 for a standard build. Quicker if they have it in stock.

mine just managed to fit 28c but 32 I think is doable providing that there's enough room to push the wheel back (i.e. paul trackend actually quite useful in that as it's longer than standard), althought mine was a custom build.

the 21.5" turned out to be perfect for me.
flubber: just email paul & ask what he recommends. go with what he says.
