I like the look of it, but then again I liked the look of 7900.
-
• #778
and now it goes all the way to 11...
le sigh
I hope the chains aren't skinnier.
-
• #779
Reckon it'll be a 135mm rear end?
-
• #780
I quite like it. And I hate the current iteration, the ugliest cranks known to man.
-
• #781
even the xtr cranks are starting to slide into fugliness (unless you're a bnp member perhaps)

Haha there are hidden agendas coming through from shimano, who's have thought, tut tut shimano

Ultegra Di2 STi & Derailleur Kit - Merlin Cycles
Above link is Merlin, mechs, shifters, cables, battery and charger for U-Di2, £697.45.
If you go to Wiggle and buy that lot but without battery and charger it's £863.95.
So- convincing win for Merlin. I don't need the battery and charger, has anyone seen mechs+shifters+cables cheaper anywhere?
-
• #784
perhaps you got an extra discount, but that merlin link has a price of £774.95
best price on't web, mind
-
• #785
Yeah, if you join their members club it gives you an additional 10%- free to do, and (so far) no deluge of spam received.
-
• #786
ah, worth knowing
-
• #787
Is it a one off or forever more type discount?
-
• #788
Just gets applied to anything in my basket, it would seem.
£697.45 is a damn good price for Ui2, it is true. I don't need 2 batteries and 2 chargers though.
-
• #789
Sell them on here or eBay. You'll get close to RRP for them.
-
• #790
So, Ultegra Di2 for £600, pretty much.
-
• #791
just don't break it on p-r!
-
• #792
It's a bit of an over reaction to my front mech playing silly buggers, to be honest.
-
• #793
I've got the cranks with the 2 metal sticks that point in opposite directions, and it seems to work using one for each foot with stepping platforms fitted. Mine are silver, which I suppose means they're the second best. Sometimes I like to make them rotate really quickly, but other times I choose to hold them still like a seesaw with people on each end just standing there.

I saw your tiller in Ealing, it was nice.
-
• #795
Tiller? Are you referring to my 140mm stem?
-
• #796
Yes. My attention was drawn to it. I felt inadequate, having grown used to my meagre 120mm.
-
• #797
I compensated with a crank length reduction. 165, bitches.
-
• #798
I saw your tiller
in Ealing,

• #799
I was hoping someone would add illustrations

Ealing tiler ^
Just noticed the aero bevel on leading edge of the crank arm. And you know its going to be stiffer than anything weighing anywhere close to it.
Waits for the Ultegra version
