Anyone have any experience with putting modern 10/11 speed gruppos on older steel frames with 126 rear spacing? I want to keep the frame if possible but then kit it out and money is not so much an issue as I get a very good discount. I'm open to suggestions. Is this a complete waste of time as I should just get a new bike?
I've got an 80s Moser running 2011 Chorus. Works like a charm and is the bike I'll be riding the Roubaix on in a couple of months. -

I've got the one with the dangly bit at the back, the open bulldog clip thing that the metal belt runs between, 2 spikey plates at the front, a collection of spiked saucers nested together on the backwards wheel, and extra wobbly mini-brake handles on the hand holders which adjust the hardness of the pedalling. Seems to work quite well on my town racer.

But how many saucers at the back? I heard if it was less than 16 you're bikes too old.
Also, unless you have teh fibreoptic cable it done go broke itselfs. -

It's a challenging design, aesthetically.
Reckon those are 4 bolt, or will there be a hidden mount behind the arm?

Dammit is to crankset lookalikes, what dogsballs is to celebrity lookalikes.
