Nope but I'm gonna order a few more as the only order I didn't fulfill was my own!

Mike, on another note, can we try and source some wicked high quality bamboo like the stuff on your mallet? I really want to try it, so fucking light it's nuts!
-
• #234
Yeah, Vidal and I have already said we'd be up for taking a few metres each.

5 x 3meter poles at 20/25mm diameter (like mine) = £30 (2 quid per meter/mallet)
or
50 x 3meter canes at 16/18mm diameter (similiar to ski poles) = £42 (app. £.30 per meter/mallet)
As for 'wicked high quality' bamboo. I can't seem to find any UK suppliers that grades their bamboo. Apparently there is a big difference in grades and it comes down to silica in the soil which shows itself as brown dots in a cross-section of pole.
-
• #236
yep reading exactly the same shit... suppliers that grade in uk are very hard to come by.
-
• #237
need right tools too really fine tooth saw.
-
• #238
I used a hacksaw. I don't think that would work so well on the solid bits though. I'll gladly get the right saw and cut to measure the poles.

Yeah, Vidal and I have already said we'd be up for taking a few metres each.
I need 2 X 3 metre lengths I guess...

Anymore?
There's still a day's work to do at the drill press before this batch is ready for shipping. But I wanted to report on the weights. Amazingly, the HDPE weighs LESS than the ABS!
2" X 5 1/2" X 2 caps 79g
2" X 6 X 2 caps 84g
2 3/8" X 5 1/2" X 2 caps 119g
2 3/8" X 6 X 2 caps 134g
2 3/8" X 5 1/2" X 1 cap 125g
2 3/8" X 6 X 1 cap 139g
The single cap, "BJ" models weigh more than their 2 cap counterparts of the same length because I only drilled out the cap side. I figured balance was more important than a few grams off the total. According to my no too terribly scientific test, the holes I did drill will mean that the mallet won't fall towards the capped side while you're trying to do something else with it during a game. -

Go on then, you twisted my arm :-)

Khorn: 2" is the skinnier pipe like the ABS that was recently ordered through Gabes.
Just trying to make sure we're all on the same page here, these measurements are outer diameter. -
• #247
Yeah, I want to try the smaller pipe, but for various reasons have been thwarted!
Also have the caps coming from todd, they're the larger size right?
-
• #248
Todd's caps fit on the 1.5 internal diameter ABS ordered by Gabes, it's similiar size to the 2" heads from Lucky. The outer diameter of Todd's caps is a little over 2 inches I think.
-
• #249
mike, it's 1.5" outer diameter.
-
• #250
no dude, it's 1.5" inside diameter. technically, your grey stuff is 41m. but the outside is identical to what is sold as 1.5". both are measured from the inside. the outside on all of them is 1 7/8"/48m.
am i missing something here...£15???
