  • Awesome work Ed, I must beat you.

  • Which might be tricky.

  • Xenon, that's what we need.

Pretty pleased with this mornings yog, current 40th on the strava hm challenge:)

And according to my watch a pb by 30 seconds :)

Nice run. Were conditions pretty good in Reading this morning?

  • Yep, cool and fairly still!

Headwind dead into me on the last 2 miles.

  • Just did a 14/15 mile slow run from Bromley into town, straight into Wahaca where a waiting Mrs Sparky crammed Mexican food into my mouth until no more could possibly fit. Then a little more.

    :)

  • Well done Ed!

  • I ran home from work. It was fun.

  • Bought some Nike Free 5.0s with the reflecty stuff, ran 9 miles in them and I'm crippled by blisters. Obviously now non-returnable but I don't really want to wear them ever again. Hmph.

  • :(

Are you sure it was the shoes and not socks etc? I love mine

  • Yeah, same socks that are fine with my other Frees (can't remember what number they are). They do feel different to whatever the others I have are. Should've paid more attention when trying them on.

  • That sucks. How was the actual run? Or we're you entirely distracted by the painful feet?

  • Pretty awful. I am still endorphin free, though admittedly the shoes didn't help.

Wow I am whingy at the moment.

  • Ah at least you're getting out! You should see my strava history for the last six months. Well you shouldn't as there isn't anything but you get my drift.

Its frustrating when something that was once fun loses that feeling, hopefully its only temporary!

  • It's the Bournemouth course. You're completely right though, it's not flat and about 50% off road with loose mud, therefore I'm pretty happy with the time.

you dont know anything about loose mud>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • wish i could understand S. eds post? what does it mean? strava?

  • Sorry tears, I ran c1.28 at reading.

  • ah nice work, fast time that. - now rest!
did an 18 miler, first back, but its 2.47 on my stopwatch offroad navigation

  • ^ formerly known as j.m.f.? I never made the connection and I've still not done an orienteering event.

  • er, yeah. das me. (i tried gettign you into it......)

  • I'll definitely do it one day, I'd love it. Focussing a little bit more on the bike of late though.

yeah one more week of serious races for the season, then its track racing time again, KICK!

9 miles in a new pair of shoes? Isn't that asking for troubles?

  • ^ this

also, check for rough seams inside at the blister points as this can sometimes be fixed with soap

  • 1.27.59 provisional time today, PB by just under a minute, pretty pleased having a beer to celebrate!
